This is a controversial subject about the rapture of the Church. It is open for debate between you and God, but not between you and me. As I’ve said many times on my blog, my goal is to draw you closer to Jesus Christ and His Holy Bible so if you disagree with something I write, then ask the Lord yourself. I will always attempt to persuade you to pray, read the Bible for yourself, investigate and let the Holy Spirit be your guiding light and the Director of the steps you take.
A Little Bit of My Background
I was raised for the most part in a charismatic Pentecostal Church (without snakes), with a couple years as a Jehovah’s Witness as a young child and a Latter Day Saint Mormon as a young teenager. That was also short lived as I discovered the incredible flaws and contradictions to the Bible. I was then sent to a conservative Baptist Church for about seven years, back to my loving childhood Pentecostal roots and for the last four years we are part of a New Covenant Church, called Bayside of Citrus Heights in California. When I came here, I was upset with God because I said, “where are the pews and the altars?” Being a woman of prayer and receiving so much grace from praying and laying on of hands, it really bothered me not having some of the things I was accustomed to in the way of religious worship and practice. However, the Lord showed me that He has a bigger plan and that He is everywhere and He has the grace to allow for the mistakes/theological differences in His Church. As imperfect beings we are not going to get everything right. This topic of the Rapture is one that many Christians vary on and I think it’s about time we stop taking our Pastor’s word for it and go to the Word of God ourselves.
Every Church Has Something Wrong
It has always bothered me tremendously when Christians say negative things about each other because I see it as insulting to God and lacking maturity. It is why you will always hear me say I am a Follower of Jesus, rather than a Baptist or Pentecostal, or whatever. Not to say, I am bothered by any True Christian who chooses to put a label on themselves. I choose to label myself based on the relationship I have with Jesus and what He calls me to do. I am a Jesus woman, a woman seeking after the heart of Jesus and the deeper truths of what He taught through Scripture. I live to be guided by His Holy Spirit and I remain imperfect, however fervently desire to do God’s will rather than my own.
I believe Jesus points it out clearly that it was by design (Ephesians 4:11-16) that we would not all be the same and why. This should not be a secret to any Bible studying and believing Christian. His Holy Word is right even if we as His Church get our interpretations wrong. We are to love one another in our differences and stop trying to prove how right we are, but prove how right His Word is. If we spent more time studying the Word and less time insulting and gossiping about each other the Army of God would be much stronger in our cause for Christ. Now more than ever is the time to understand the implications of a healthy or unhealthy body of Christ. The Lord asked me to help Him heal His Church over three years ago. He said, “my body is sick and it is not functioning well.”I didn’t know exactly what He meant at first, but it is growing ever clearer. With the times rapidly growing closer to the Great Tribulation we need to understand that Jesus the Judge is coming and perhaps the Church in the last Century has misinterpreted some things on the topic of the rapture.
Are we really going to escape what looks like prophetically could happen at any moment? What if it happens later than we think and we should be preparing the Church and humanity for what is to come during the Great Tribulation rather than getting ready to go on a long awaited vacation. In case, you are wondering, I have always thought we would escape the horrors, but I am unsure and leaning towards the evidence pointing to God’s Church being more useful here rather than gone. It’s not enough for me to say that, however, without delving into the Scripture, putting what I’ve heard from the pulpit to the side and investigating for myself. This video provides alot in the way of helping you research this out so you can determine and pray about it for yourself.
I hesitate to share some of these things at times because I really want you to determine for yourself and I don’t want anyone saying that Jenene said this or said that. But, putting my fear aside, some things like this topic of the pre-tribulation rapture are very critical I believe because the implications are great and we will be held accountable.
Do the research. I think the Pre-tribulation is very popular in Christianity, but something about it has always not set well with me and I’m wondering if there are others feeling the same way. There is nothing to lose to prepare to be here during the Tribulation period, but alot to lose if we’re wrong and we’re unprepared. Perhaps it is better to err on the side of preparing for what is worse, yet hoping for the best. Perhaps thinking we’re escaping sooner than we are will cause the Church to be slack and not remember what we are here for, the Great Commission. Go and make disciples of all men until Jesus returns. Don’t be comfortable, lazy, asleep or lukewarm ever as Jesus speaks of judging the seven churches in Revelation Chapter 1-4 and this applies to His Church worldwide, not a specific Church age as some would say. It would make no sense to interpret the Judgement of the Church in Revelation in the context of what happened in the past because we know the Book of Revelation is a Book to tell us about what is to come. It is a Book of WARNING.
We are called to overcome during a life of tribulation and then we will receive our crowns and we may be here during the Great Tribulation which could be less than seven years. There will be a Rapture, but when? I’m just saying . . .scripturally speaking check it out for yourself.
Where will your final resting place be? It may sound weird, but if you consider what you’re about to read, I believe you just might see things a little differently about how good and worthy you are to face God at the end of your life. How would you assess where you stand with your Creator? How do you think you will be assessed as a person who was gifted by God with life on earth?
First, I am asking you to consider that you breathe because God’s breathe was breathed into you making you and I living beings. This is what the Bible teaches. If you think about what an honor that is, it’s pretty profound. Also, in order to have a breakthrough you will need to let go of how practical or ludicrous, good or bad, innocent or guilty you think you are at this moment. My goal is to show you something spiritual because the mind assesses differently than the spirit. However, the questions I would pose are meant to reveal to you the actual condition of your mind, soul and spirit according to the Sovereign Judge.
For this moment, in order to assess accurately and play along with me, you sort of have to assess as if you are God, not your self. In other words, don’t talk yourself out of your authentic answers or you’ll miss the revelation. Be straight about it.
For this exercise, you must realize God ultimately gets to be the Judge and He is in control of your final resting or unresting place, not you.
So, I’ll ask you some questions and you need to answer them as honestly or brutally as possible from the perspective of a Holy God, not a diplomatically correct God. One should not confuse the two. Also, you should know that God does not compare you to anyone else and does not judge on a sliding scale. Consider that He judges fairly being the only Spirit that is capable of judging the true heart and integrity of a man.
Do you think you are a good person? Yes or no.
Do you think you are a moral person? Be honest.
If you could get away with stealing a million dollars and knew positively that you wouldn’t get caught, would you steal it?
Do you think heaven is a Holy Place?
Do you think Jesus was a Holy Man? Why?
Do you think it’s fair that holy and evil people should spend eternity together?
Do you know that God (The Creator in heaven) will not allow anything unholy in His presence?
Can you imagine heaven as somewhere that could be unholy?
When you consider there could be a hell, who do you think should be there?
Why do you think Jesus is referred to as the Savior or Messiah of mankind?
Is it possible you’ve been spiritually misled or deceived by something or someone you don’t understand that keeps you from wanting to serve God, rather than your self?
Do you know what the Ten Holy Commandments of God are? God’s laws for living. (10 commandments (1) No Other God but me, (2) Don’t commit idolatry. Don’t worship other God’s like carved images. (3) Do not say Lord’s name in vain (4) Keep the Sabbath Day holy (5) Honor your Father and Mother (6) Do not murder (7) Do not commit adultery (8) Do not steal (9) Do not lie (10) Do not covet your neighbor’s wife or anything they own. This means don’t envy others.
If no, what will your excuse be when He asks why not?
Do you think anyone is capable of keeping all of the Ten Commandments 100% of the time.
Can you imagine a Holy God deceiving you? Yes or no.
Is it possible that man created religion, not God?
Is it possible that God wants a relationship with you more than rules?
Is it possible that the Bible is a Holy Prophetic Book offering proof of its validity available through studying it?
Is it possible that man created war, not God?
Is it possible that God is so fair and just that the world has evolved to this point of evil because God allowed freedom of choice to man? Is this fair in your opinion?
Is it possible that God has been trying to work around wars and religions created by man to reveal himself as your friend and not your enemy?
At this point, do you think you qualify as a family member in heaven with a Holy God?
If God created hell, why?
Is it possible than satan is the deceiver of the nations and that is why Jesus came to save mankind?
Even if you know little about Jesus or the Bible, if you were to be spiritually deceived, does your gut tell you it would be Jesus or satan to deceive you?
If there was a God that loved you beyond your imagination and beyond human understanding, do you think it could be Jesus?
Do you think God sees anyone as good?
How do you think you might be made Holy and acceptable to God, worthy of a Holy resting place?
Is it possible that the Creator knew something about the “power” of a Holy blood sacrifice that we cannot fully understand?
Is it worth asking for forgiveness and repenting of your sins, according to God’s commandments, to have Jesus reveal the Truth in your heart about how much He loves you?
Where will your final resting place be?
What do you really have to lose by considering everything that’s been revealed to you today?
Do you know what you have to do to know for sure you will spend eternity in a peaceful resting place?
Ten Commandments (Exodus Twenty)
3 “You shall have no other gods before me.”
(Put God first in your life.)
4 “You shall not make for yourself an image in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below.
(Don’t commit idolatry by worshipping anything other than the Creator.)
7 “You shall not misuse the name of the Lord your God, for the Lord will not hold anyone guiltless who misuses his name.
(Don’t say the Lord’s name in vain.)
8 “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy. 9 Six days you shall labor and do all your work, 10 but the seventh day is a sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, neither you, nor your son or daughter, nor your male or female servant, nor your animals, nor any foreigner residing in your towns. 11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, but he rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.
(Keep one day a week as a holy day that is just for resting and being with God.)
12 “Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the Lord your God is giving you.
13 “You shall not murder.
14 “You shall not commit adultery.
15 “You shall not steal.
16 “You shall not give false testimony against your neighbor.
17 “You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, or his male or female servant, his ox or donkey, or anything that belongs to your neighbor.”
(Covet means don’t envy or desire someone else’s things at any level. This creates cravings for things that are not yours.)
The Challenge With The Commandments
Here’s the challenge with the commandments of God. No one is capable of keeping them continuously, however God knows are heart and if we are truly doing our best to be holy. There are still rewards in heaven for those who took these commandments more seriously than others. That seems fair doesn’t it?
Still God requires complete holiness. In a nutshell, that is the very reason Jesus came to save us from a life separate from He and the Father. We must get real with ourselves about our own falling short, repent, turn from doing things unholy as best we can and accept Jesus as Savior. He is the only way we can be made Holy so we can enter a peaceful resting place.
We don’t want to end up in a final unresting place of weeping with evil and darkness for all eternity. The candles seem romantic in the dark now, but take away the candles and it’s pitch black. So, if you think you are seeing righteously living by your own terms, being self indulgent, don’t be deceived. We will ALL be judged by the One who was chosen to make the call. His name is Jesus. Every day, you are choosing a path that will lead you to eternal good or eternal evil. Choose today to accept the Savior’s gift.
Oh to be a reckless ragamuffin!
I’m always amazed to see that deep down, we really are on a journey to accept ourselves and to learn to unleash the “ragamuffin” inside. Jesus is in the reckless ragamuffin.
Whatever is “religious” the reckless ragamuffin is the complete opposite. I want to be like that all the time. I want to be fully me because in that love and acceptance of myself, I hear Jesus whispering, be brave, be yourself, then people will see me. It seems like a strange paradox because we can’t really be fully ourselves until we’ve emptied ourselves of ourselves. Jesus is the cup that overflows in me. The true nature of God breathes in the person willing to boldly walk like Jesus walked and love like Jesus loved. We are the ones that from a distance people say, that’s one unusual chick! I’m ok with that. Up close and personal people say you inspire me to be more like Jesus. That’s a legacy worth living. So, it’s worth it when people don’t get me, to know the ones that do, experience the love of Jesus. The ragamuffin’s are the free spirited Christians who will not conform to religion, but are willing to be totally transformed by the miraculous grace of Jesus Christ.
Rich Mullins was the best at being a reckless Ragamuffin for Jesus. He left you wanting more of Jesus and more of life lived spirited and in the moment. The story of his life is playing around the country now. I’m pretty sure it will be playing on the Big Screen soon. I am so glad. He was a walking living testimony of God’s incredible poetic nature in a simple man. Watching this musician on stage pour himself out and Jesus right along with him is exhilarating! He leaves you wanting more. Truth is, we want to be like that, don’t we? We want to get beyond being held back. It’s a journey to realize that fame, fortune, money, fitting in and all that stuff is a facade that keeps the true you bound up. However, Jesus came to set the captives free.
When Jesus captivates us we will captivate others and the freedom cycle of making disciples lives on. That’s what the apostles were all about. Jesus had something special to offer and nothing could compare. That kind of spiritual freedom was worth their life. They were glad to lay down their lives for the message of Jesus’s grace. Fame and fortune won’t bring honor or glory that lasts. I hope this musician man, Rich Mullins touches this new generation of youth. He was ahead of his time, but I believe the youth of this day are ready for him. Rich unveils the Truth that making Jesus famous has deep implications that last an eternity all the while touching humanity on every level. He removes all boundaries and perceptions of who is worthy to be loved by the Lord Jesus. What a legacy! I wish I would have known him personally, surely I would have called him brother. Watch the trailer here and Amy Grant as well as other people’s testimonies of what an extraordinarily unique Christian he was, here. You will be so inspired to just let go and let Jesus work miracles in your life.
I’m always amazed by how many Christians claim to have the gift of spiritual discernment. It concerns me because in this day and age we really need the real thing. In the end times knowledge is at all time high so we can easily be persuaded if we are discerning from a natural perspective, rather than a spiritual one. I think it’s even more difficult to discern things spiritually when we are naturally gifted at decision making. It may seem strange, but perhaps those people who have found themselves praying a lot to make better decisions, could be the ones who have a gift of discernment.
When I ask people what their spiritual gifts are I will hear “discernment” more than any other gift. For myself I even hesitate to say I have this gift because I recognize the challenge we have. Often we have to go against what the natural eye sees and perceives. If you find yourself using common sense and thinking this is discernment it’s likely not the case. Common sense and discernment are not the same, not even close. We’ve got to lay aside ourselves and ask Jesus to help us discern without logic. That seems weird right? I’m not saying that there won’t end up being logic inside the discernment after all is said and done. I am saying that we are not to discern through it.
Learning to discern spiritually, is asking God to help us see like Him. Help us to hear like Him. To nudge our gut based on the Holy Spirit not on bias, logic or evidence. The evidence that you’ve discerned right can show up sometimes way later. There is no need to discern a spirit that is blatantly going against the Word of God or pointing people to unbiblical doctrines. The gift of discernment, like all spiritual gifts, requires us being so connected to God that you fear getting off His path, this is submission of the gift. We’ve got to pray to remain acutely spiritually aware and in tune with His knowledge, not our own. He sees the future, He knows the BIG PICTURE better than even the strongest prophets. Even they only saw in part and prophesied in part.
Wisdom About Discernment
I found this content below and I thought from my own experience regarding discernment that it was spot on. I hope this helps you understand this gift of discernment more. If you discover you don’t have the gift, don’t worry. Just focus on the spiritual gifts you do have. The Lord made the body with all it’s many parts and spiritual gifts and His plan is just perfect.
(The information below was found herehttp://www.acts17-11.com/dialogs_gift_discernment.html)
For it is not about having good antennae in the flesh, it is about staring at Jesus and waiting for His strength, power, wisdom, life, and leading. It is about dying and being resurrected into new life. When the real thing comes it is MILES from the natural in character and effect. When it doesn’t, it is a drag, since flesh by itself stinks. I have had some scandalous failures in the past, but this has humbled and humiliated me–which is good. This internet “sensory deprivation” thing–both where we have done well and failed–has been an excellent training ground. Now when I meet someone, I deliberately try to tune-out what I perceive in the flesh, and simply ask God for discernment in how to respond or not. They say the blind develop heightened senses in other areas. This is a good metaphor for becoming blind in our fleshly abilities such that our spiritual gifts might be awakened by faith and grow.
2Co 5:7 (KJV) For we walk by faith, not by sight.Phil 3:7 (NIV) But whatever was to my profit [Paul's fine human capabilities, skills, accomplishments] I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish [KJV: dung] that I may gain Christ.
“I can discern things; but I have very low knowledge of Biblical teachings. Is it possible to have one without the other?
I believe it is, if it is the real spiritual stuff. If it is just a natural “hunch”, of course, you will not find confirmation later–either from yourself or others–through scripture and/or simply the way things play out.
Here I will offer some insights that might not be shared by many in the current “puffed up with knowledge” Christian environment that we live in. I am of the view that discernment is not knowledge based, but I suspect that many in the modern church would disagree. For example, Hank Hannegraf nearly always uses Scripture to discern and calls his a “discernment” ministry, but I think this incorrect. By using Scripture, his is a “knowledge” and/or an “understanding” or “teaching” ministry. Discernment is more elemental than human thought, more in the domain of the heart or spirit and not so much the mind–except as a conclusion afterwards. In scripture, it is “discernment of spirits” not “discernment of knowledge” or “discernment of facts”; and spirits must be spiritually discerned.
1Cor 12:7-10 (NKJ) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, …to another discerning of spirits…1John 4:1 (NAS) …test the spirits to see whether they are from God…
The major categories of spirits are 1) God, 2) the devil (or world, if you will: Js 3:15), and 3) the flesh. People with mature discernment can tell the difference between flesh and spirit in themselves and others, thus the difficulty and learning needed at the outset to grow in the gift. They can also perceive the demonic as acute pain, angst, or discord in their spirits. But many in the body do not want to “submit” to this gift, exalting knowledge (biblical, in particular) above all. This is very inefficient and misapplied… even silly at times. For example, you (I suspect) could tell a man from a woman (in most cases) without doing a hormone test, no? The hormone test is like “finding a scripture”–much more accurate for difficult cases; but it is inefficient and silly (even bullying?) to insist on this in every case. Most often you can just tell.So it is with discernment. If it were simply a matter of looking up scriptures, then why a separate gift from knowledge, wisdom, and understanding?
Given this, I have felt led in the last few years not to provide scriptural support if this was not the basis of my conclusion–and normally with real discernment it is not–even if I can come at it from this angle, which I most often can. While this has not gone over well with a few people, predictably, I feel it is time to burst the swollen knowledge bubble. It is like having spiritual smell–why pretend we saw something we really smelled just to make those without smell feel better? And smell can go around corners and into places that sight can’t. Now I just tell them: “that is demonic” pure and simple. Scripture only tells us to discern and is not case specific. My freedom in this boldness is that God (if He can be taken at His word <smiles>) always confirms by two or three.
Mat 18:16 (NIV) …”‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’”2Cor 13:1 (NIV) “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”
Thus, we should never, ever, submit to one man’s prophecy, discernment, or whatever–cult like. If it is really God, then He will confirm it His way. Sometimes the second or third witness is simply the Holy Spirit in us going “YEAH!” (1Jn 5:7-9) but God never breaks His own rules. Thus, we are free to take risks and not worry about misleading anyone, for it is really God then He will get the glory by doing it His way: through at least two or three separate witnesses. This does not work so well in most modern churches, because the “witnesses” are afraid to death (in the pride of flesh) that they might be wrong and thus paralyzed into inactivity. Well, they will never know or learn until they try.
Discerners are given to the body like a nose: they are to sniff things out and give advance warning to that which is gross or moldy or toxic, as well as what might be glorious, gorgeous, or splendid. When we discern, we need no hype or “authority”, we can just simply state in humility and the freedom that Christ has provided in the new-wineskin structure (such as “by two or three”). What people do with this information is up to them and God, but we must speak if prompted by the Holy Spirit with strong discernment within.
In conclusion, my advice might run counter to popular opinion, but I am of the view that discernment has little to do with how much scripture you know, but is more like an ability to see or “smell” into the spirit world. You would do well to learn more of the Bible, and you are doing this… but I think you will find this more like outside confirmation than applying to the basic gift; it will be like getting the hormone test results back on the “queen” that you knew in an instant was not a woman.
Well, if I am right, you will have a tough row to hoe with all the “knowledge touters” beating you up, rejecting your gift, or asking for “hormone tests” from you… and the like; but be bold and know that if it is really Christ-in-you then He will confirm it later even if people reject it now. Remember, it is His glory we are after, not ours. And when it comes to any deficiency in knowledge that you might have, if you are submitting to Christ’s body in your life, then this might well come mainly from others–for this is how God wants it to be. Are all the nose or hand? Just be the nose and get real good at it, and if you are rejected then remember how this felt when you are tempted to reject the foot or some other part. Because sometimes we cut off our noses just to spite our face. For God wants us to be interdependent, that is why He gives gifts “as He chooses”.
We really need each other.
Idolatry Hiding in The Church
Jesus said,”go and make disciples of all men.” Hmm. Did we miss something in the Church? Could it be that we are understanding this at a minimal level and we need to go deeper to grab hold of the Great Commission in its fullest potential? I believe that is absolutely the case. We have been tricked once again by the enemy’s schemes inside the Church.
We think if we can remain safe in our Church culture and be as Holy as possible we will remain untainted by the ugliness of the world. Can I ask you, how do we reach the nations then? Jesus said GO! He didn’t say wait for all the evil people to show up on your doorstep. He said, “do not reject an evil man.” Jesus was brave and he didn’t conform to the religious Pharisees, he reamed their hypocritical nature and called them snakes. He was angry because their attitudes were debilitating to the people, not life-giving. Anyone who is a hypocrite is also an idolater. Oh, wait a minute? I thought that the “evil” people worshipping satan and music and celebrities and cult leaders they were the idolators? Think again.
What did you think would hurt God more? His own Children committing idolatry blindly inside His beloved Church or people who were ignorant outside the Church? C’mon! His Church is sick. This is why. We aren’t getting it. We’re supposed to be out there in the world, but not part of the world. We’re supposed to be influencing culture, not sitting back and judging culture and doing absolutely nothing about it, except for gossiping about it. That’s disgusting to me as a True Follower of Jesus. How do we miss this unless we are so blinded by our own idolatry of worshipping our own religious convictions, rather than seeking spiritual convictions from Jesus Himself. Jesus is pleading with me, seriously Church, I am feeling His pain and it is literally making me sick. He has asked me to help Him heal His body? Seem strange? It did to me too until I got what He meant. He built the Church to bring healing to the world. How do we do that when we are sick ourselves?
Open your eyes. Pray. Listen. God is convicting His Church right now about this. It is preparation time, it is a day of mercy and Truth. The truth is, when the Jews (God’s chosen) absolutely refused to get how being religious lacked the nature of leadership, compassion and love, the apostles said “ok, let’s go and adopt the Gentiles then into the family of Christ.” I got news for you, Jesus is calling people out of cults, out of the occult and out of every disgusting form of evil because, like the Jews, too many so-called Christians are sitting on the sidelines doing nothing. So Jesus is going deeper. He went from the Jews, to the Gentiles and now He’s really going deep and He’s going to personally grab hold of the hearts of the children of darkness and turn them into the children of Light. These folks, they’re going to battle for Jesus because they know better than anyone the way the enemy is scheming, affecting the Church and culture. I don’t know if it should be this way, but I know it is this way. That’s the Jesus I serve, He will adjust His tactics according to culture to win every soul given to Him by the Father. I am His daughter and I will not be silent about this behavior in the Church. We were born to fight for lost souls, we were born to set the captives free, not be held captive ourselves by religion or the idolatry of comfort, while the enemy sits back and laughs in our face.
The Jews were writing the book on religion and playing God. We aren’t God! Yet when we don’t listen and can’t get over our self-limiting selves and we put God in a box and make Him fit into our pretty picture of religion. How are we different than the Jews of Jesus’ day? You see it just sneaks up on us when we stay comfortable in our own environment and soon we have the mentality of a cult, but everyone’s quiet about it.
Cult vs Culture
Most people think of someone like a Jim Jones when they think of being part of a cult (See definition 1 below). That’s the extreme definition. However, satan is pretty clever. In the Christian Church cultish thinking is a lot less noticeable. Christians might have the mentality of a cult member without having a leader who is a cult leader. Still, people revere the Pastor and the conventional ways of their Church environment, often times more than Jesus and it’s another form of idolatry. Even with a Pastor’s best intentions to keep their congregation set on following Jesus, some of us old school Christians can fall prey to this out of an unhealthy reverence (See definition 3 and 4). Especially if we’re not actively working for Christ and in a close personal relationship with Him. It’s a word of caution for those who get too comfortable. Comfortable can mean asleep.
1. A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
2. The followers of such a religion or sect.
3. A system or community of religious worship and ritual.
4. The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual.
Healing The Nations
the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively.
“20th century popular culture”
the arts, the humanities, intellectual achievement;
The enemy and His Kingdom are here to “destroy the nations”. They’re the evil guys trying to take down humanity. We were adopted by the Savior of Mankind, Jesus, to become Children of God and walk in His footsteps to change the world and people’s lives. Satan’s got two big goals, (1) affect the culture, and (2) keep Christ’s Church busy being deaf, blind, silent, sick and religious. This way God’s Army will be so busy feeling good about themselves they will miss entirely what the enemy is doing to our culture, country and the nations. Now is the time to wake up and get ready for Christ’s return, not by being comfortable, but by loving Him more than your own comfort. The Church should be angry with what is happening. However, who should we hold responsible? After all, Christ is coming back as the Judge to judge the Church. Were we not warned through the entire Holy Bible (prophetic Scriptures) that we would be fighting a good vs. evil battle? The whole idea of fighting, means you have an opponent, you are in battle not sitting on the sidelines, then when you have overcome, you will receive your reward. I know my Lord’s Church is bigger than this! I am praying, so fervently for Christ’s warriors to rise up and fight for mankind, the way Jesus taught us to.
Media, Music & Television
I admit that I’m not much of a tv person at all. I’m mostly a geek and watch the History Channel or documentaries, but the Lord has been speaking to me about getting my head out of the sand as well. I do a lot of research on the internet on various topics relating to following the teachings of Jesus, supporting Israel and prophecy. Now that I have come up for air, I am blown away at what I am seeing and I’m quite positive that the majority of Christians don’t even know what is happening. Recently Jesus has supernaturally led me to see some things so I could understand why I am feeling a great sense of urgency to help heal the Church. He keeps asking me to pray to call out His Church, to rise up. He is calling His Church from out of the darkest of places into His light.
Spiritually speaking things took a shift. Being someone with strong spiritual intuition, I felt the change. However, even though the Lord told me in 2012 that 2013 would be a year of miracles I didn’t look for the evidence and it was one of the more difficult years of my life so I wasn’t looking for what He meant. The evidence showed up recently for me in more ways than one. The evidence is overwhelming that God is trying to tell us to prepare because the end is drawing near. He is shaking everything up. He is not acting predictably, if He ever did. The weather and very strange occurrences happened last year all signs to what is coming.
In 2012 The Illuminati symbols started showing up in the some of the super bowl and Emmy Awards performances. Starting with Madonna (2012), Beyonce (2013), and Katy Perry (2014). There are so many news articles about these satanic shows, you can do the research your self. There is no question, totally satanic and representing prophecy in some cases like Katy Perry’s show regarding the Dark Horse, which can be found in Revelation. Katy Perry also has love songs written to satan without question. I have listened and watched all of these things personally. You can go to google or Youtube to watch for yourself, but in the case of Katy Perry’s song I would not listen. If I had a young child or teenager, I would go to no end to make sure my child was avoiding this music and start educating your children. This music is extremely hypnotic, as the enemy is, and it sucks you in and numbs you out. It is a new day in the Kingdom of God. Time to wake up.
Quick Overview of End Time Prophecy
If we know anything about prophecy, most people know that Jesus is coming back and the very end times will have the world ruled by the “False Prophet, the Anti-christ and Satan. Hm. There’s the trinity. Satan loves to mock everything Jesus does. During that time, it will not be pretty on any level, politically, socially or economically. We will need to receive some kind of mark (Bible says 666), the mark of the beast, in order to survive, buy food or do anything controlled by the Government. Right now, it’s an interesting time to say the least, if you can see what’s happening.
The One-World Order
If one uses some logic, we can see a little bit that the talks are already happening to create a single currency, this is a key to what those involved are predicting to be answer to many of the world’s economic problems. Oh, but don’t be fooled. Things are never as they seem when it comes to the enemy. The world will have to evolve to the place of being blind to what is actually happening so that the False Prophet and the Anti-christ seem so sovereign and as if they’re the answer to the world’s problems. Even the elite are being fooled right now. Sadly people don’t know the Book of Revelation and the unchurched world is completely “CLUELESS” while Jesus’ Church is sitting on the sidelines being blind to our responsibility of the Great Commission to help. We’re called to reach our un-churched culture with the Truth of what is happening and is going to happen sooner than what you think. The Bible says we’ll just be going about our daily lives, not expecting the rapture to take place, one to go and another to be left behind.
Who Is Mostly Being Targeted
For several years now we’ve become aware to some degree to television and a burger commercial nearing r rated. That’s getting scary for us. But, that’s just the most obvious. Another scheme of the enemy is to have Christians and society see the most obvious so they’ll miss the less obvious. I admit it, It’s a brilliant scheme. Right now, while we’re worrying about sexy commercials and sex scenes on tv, there are satanic symbols in our children’s cartoons (like Sponge Bob), but nobody notices because nobody knows, especially not the Church. We’re the last ones to notice.
The Illuminati has been brought to our attention for a hundred years, but we’re still writing that off as just “one more conspiracy” theory. Two years ago, I would have been right there with ya! I stopped watching the news of any kind ten years ago until the Lord put social, economic, religion and political research on my daily ministry list. Sometimes, I do these research tasks kicking and screaming, but I still say, “thy will be done Lord.” There are days when I feel like my head could just explode so I have to pray, worship and study the Word a lot to keep my sanity from all the things I am realizing from a prophetic point of view. My responsibility overwhelms me at times and I literally cry over this burden to see Jesus’ Church rise up!
I can see two areas that are being targeted. It looks like this. Young people today just want to be loved and free to be themselves and let everyone else be free too. I can get behind that, but there’s just one problem with the everything is acceptable point of view. Without a stand for something “Sovereign” and true in your life, the doors are open to all kind of opportunities and many of these opportunities are proven to start out looking really good until you’re stuck in a web with the spider.
Music Industry (MTV, The Devils Playground)
So we have a bunch of former Christian music artists who have turned from Christian music to “satanic music”. I’m not talking about secular music, I’m literally saying satanic music. Honestly, I don’t know if they even all know yet or if they’re in a contract to sing certain lyrics and use certain occult symbolism. Perhaps some of them start out thinking hey this is what they’re saying is Pop culture so I’ll do it. Woops! Then you’re in the trap and how to get out alive would be the next question.Who better than to take down than the leaders of tomorrow from a battle perspective. Take down the ones that are supposed to be the strongest, the youth.
Let’s also, take down our little children in America too, with video games and iphones so they won’t need social skills or people in the future. They’ll just need a screen in front of them and won’t have a single clue how to fight from a spiritual or soul perspective. Their natural God-given, well-rounded design will be limited to a hypnotized brain that will only react to the satanic symbolism in order to lead them to destruction. The symbols are in many of the cartoons, I’ve seen them myself, so it tells me that the enemy is totally working to prepare our little tiny children for something sooner than we think. It seems like they’re being prepared and we’re being prepared for a depraved and soulless society. (My opinion). Shall we move on to MTV.
Approximately five years ago MTV’s office in Canada moved into a Masonic Lodge. They added the Illuminati logo above their MTV logo and you can see the Masonic Lodge words below in the photograph. I don’t watch MTV, but in my research I have come across a lot of evidence that clearly “pop culture” is a major focus, if not the main focus, for how to prepare for the False Prophet and Anti-christ rule. Perhaps there was a “hidden message” in the Bible when it said, the root of all evil is the love of money.” Perhaps this was actually a prophetic statement. Knowing this was the biggest way the enemy would trap people to worship and follow Him, even ignorantly in the last days.
This video below is a very revealing video and I think it sheds a lot of light on what I’m talking about. I’m not writing this to scare you. I’m writing this blog because first of all, the Lord told me to and second of all, it’s time to prepare, Church. The best way to prepare is to draw closer to Christ and start doing the will of the Father. Follow the path He lays out for you. Be aware and become a True Follower of Jesus. Choose to do what He asks even though it might be really hard. Tougher callings are ahead. Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Rise up! He will never leave you or forsake you.
Watch This Video (Please watch. This is a Christian ministry that is committed to revealing the truth about how our culture is being prepared through music, media and secret societies, like The Illuminati. They cover various music groups and organizations throughout their videos. This is video number ten in their series The Truth Will Scare You of over 90 videos. )
Help Katy Perry and Hollywood
Well, I said it a week or so ago, God is shaking things up in Hollywood. I prophesied this last year to my husband regarding Hollywood. It is happening. Two movies are coming out in February (Son of God, and March (God’s Not Dead). Just last night I said to my daughter “God like to do things in threes to really make a point so I’m expecting to hear about a third movie.” Today it happened. The movie set for April 9 is “persecuted”. You need to go to their Facebook page because honestly the trailer doesn’t say enough in my opinion. However, I can tell you it seems to be about Christianfreedom. I’m now making a prediction, however, it is not a prophetic word at this point. I believe every month a new movie regarding Christianity, Jesus or God will come out as a major motion picture film every month this year. I say this because the Lord said to me, “everyone in Hollywood will be asking what is going on in Hollywood?” I think it will take even more than three films to get the “making Jesus famous” again to show up in the headlines, therefore I am making this prediction that there are a lot more films coming. The Lord said, that “even people who don’t believe in me will be asking what’s happening? No one will be able to deny His presence on the Big screen.“
Katy Perry – The Dark Horse
I listen to Christian music so I didn’t know who Katy Perry was until last Sunday when part of the presentation at Church showed the top 5 most popular twitter pages, but didn’t actually show the page just her number of followers being 50.5 million. I felt a strong pull toward looking her up from the Holy Spirit and I knew ahead of time she would be satanic and I didn’t know exactly why God wanted me to look her up. First I looked her up on Youtube and saw the 2014 Grammy show but only listened to 30 seconds of the Dark Horse presentation. I, being very spiritually sensitive, sensed the evil hypnotic influence in the music immediately, so I only watched the words. I recognized quickly the satanic nature of the words as well.
I found out about the third movie today “persecuted”due to a wild set of online coincidences. Somehow during my online travels I came across an article regarding the Grammy Show, which I am not afraid to say, was so satanic. Sorry, my dear Katy Perry, but it’s true, even if you are completely blind to the powers of darkness at work (which I don’t believe you are), the dark horse is not a myth it is a symbol of end time prophecy and Katy Perry said herself in an interview on youtube (I personally watched) that she was going to put a spell on the audience. Yep and that’s what I believe she did with the help of demonic forces.
Natalie Grant, a popular Christian artist, walked out of the Grammy show and tweeted about it, but remained silenced for one reason or another regarding the details and what she saw. I was disappointed she didn’t speak up personally, but it could be the Lord had His reasons. Only Natalie can answer that. Here’s the article about Natalie and the show.
I hope it’s not a surprise to you all that I pray for people like this. Why? Because we’re called to and she has millions of people following her straight to the real hell not the one presented in her cool presentation. Followers of Christ have to take the Jesus’ Great Commission a little more seriously. Sorry, was that too honest! So, if she turns back after satan gets done playing with her, I’m praying she’ll bring millions of people back to Jesus with her. What a testimony she would have! It’s looking pretty satanic in Hollywood these days. Madonna is her idol and she also is someone following the Illuminati. It’s no wonder to me that Jesus feels a need to bring some Light into the darkness of Hollywood and maybe win some of those satanic souls back. As uncomfortable as that could sound, it is going to happen. You will see them come out and help the Lord by revealing the truth about satan, the Illuminati, witchcraft and black and white magic and it’s all idolatry.
Watch this video I give you a heads up this man is pretty ticked off about everyone thinking it’s cool to follow satan and personally I don’t blame him. I’m pretty ticked off at the deception as well. That’s why I’m going to pray some serious warfare prayers for Hollywood and these poor deceived souls. Satan might seems cool when you’re following him, but not so much when you try to get out of his grip. It’s no small matter.
At least one of my adult daughters is so blinded by Katy Perry that she said to me “Mom, she’s a Christian.” I hope that was a prophetic vision, but I don’t think she has that spiritual gift. Katy had Christian roots so I think there are other young Christians following her. I asked my daughter to please stop listening to her music and that I would explain the meaning of her video the next time I see her. Everyone needs to talk to their kids about this and speak out.
The problem with the occult is the power of the enemy is so hypnotic it just sucks young people in. The way the spirit realm works is not talked about enough so that people understand the permission we are giving to the dark spirits to wreak havoc in our lives. These spirits influence Christians and non-Christians when we blindly open doorways and play in the enemy’s camp. This music is one way of thousands of ways. I’ll talk about many of the other ways in other blogs in the future. Please pass them on. This is a simple way to get the word out. (Thank you)
Remember: The Lord said, every knee will bow, on heaven and on earth and below the earth that Jesus is Lord. As followers of Jesus we need to pray. We are at war. Do not fear, like Natalie Grant did not saying why she personally had to leave the show. I love Natalie Grant but we’ve got to be bolder than this and risk our reputation and our popularity for the sake of the Truth. That Katy Perry performance was satanic in every way. And my God can turn every evil into good. I am asking you to pray and agree with me to call out Christ’s Church from every corner of the earth and from every religion, even satanism. Christians have to stop being such wimps. (Sorry if you’re not in the category of a wimp.)
The apostle Paul certainly didn’t start out a saint. Every person can turn back to Jesus and His arms will be open to every person genuine about following Him.

God Hates Religion
Religion was made up by man in order to discover a relationship with God. It all started out well and good, actually it was perfect with Adam and Eve. Then they ate of the tree and we all know what happened. They didn’t do “the will of God” by obeying. They were tempted by that snake that disguises himself in one way today, as religion. Quite the clever and suave snake satan is who presents himself so high-and-mighty that he desires worship like the Father. The religious are so blind they are literally worshipping the enemy and are completely blind to it. I know that seems like a way-out-there statement. Yep! We’re running out of time and we’re beyond the days of sugar-coating the tactics of the enemy. C’mon Church! Get with it!
Here’s the thing. I know right now you’ve perhaps probably got a particular denomination in mind about who the “religious church” is. “My Church teaches…” Do you really believe that God favors your Church over others? Quite the contrary, if your denomination professes to be “the only true way”, I can pretty well guarantee that it isn’t! In fact in the Book of Revelation Jesus is letting us know all the things He has against the Church and we will be judged by the Sovereign Judge sooner than you think. Now is the time to get right with God and what Jesus really taught. Take your religious hat off and put your relationship hat on because that’s what The True Jesus has always been about.
What Jesus Said About The Religious
So you may be wondering where in the Bible it says that God hates religion. Starting with the Old Testament below there are several scriptures and then finish off with what Jesus Christ Himself said concerning religion.
Isaiah 1:13-14 states, “Bring no more vain oblations; incense is an abomination unto me; the new moons and Sabbaths, the calling of assemblies…it is iniquity…Your new moons and your appointed feasts my soul hateth: they are a trouble unto me; I am weary to bear them.”
David prays to God in Psalm 40:6, “Sacrifice and offering thou didst not desire;…Burnt offering and sin offering hast thou not required.”
Amos 5:21 says, “I hate, I despise your feast days, and I will not smell (the odors of their sacrifices) in your solemn assemblies.”
Micah 6:6-8 includes; “Wherewith shall I come before the Lord and bow myself before the high God? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves of a year old? Will the lord be pleased with thousands of rams, or with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my firstborn for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He hath showed thee, O man, what is good; and what doth the Lord require of thee, but to do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God.”
And here’s the secret: “Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.”James 4:10. Stop worrying about what everyone else thinks and start worrying what god thinks because soon nothing else will matter and you don’t want to miss the train to heaven.
You see, the Israelites (Jews) of the Old Testament had forgotten the relationship with God and became dependent upon the religious system of works and sacrifice and offerings expecting spiritual redemption or to appease God. But in these passages we see God Himself saying, “ I’m not interested in your religious activities, I want your heart.” In fact that is exactly what He expresses here in Isaiah 29:13, “Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips do honor me, but have removed their heart far from me…”(Jesus quoted this passage in Matt. 15:8-9 adding “…in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men.”)
Pride is the capstone of religion. What comes along with being religious is self-righteous, hypocritical, prideful and underneath it all is fear. We’ve all had to learn this lesson that proves how deceived we are. We’ll continue to learn this lesson. This is why the great deceiver, satan uses it. He loves to cover himself up with the words of Jesus. Do you think he isn’t just smug-as-a-bug about that? That’s why I say he is being blindly worshipped by Jesus Christ’s church. It’s time to STOP the hiding madness that looks so proper and start asking, “Father, what is your will today?” and mean it.
Religion is a bondage that is often carried down from generation to generation or it has become part of the culture in countries around the world. Church and state are not separate. It is a bondage that Jesus confronted with a strong tongue lashing directed at the religious leaders of the day; the Pharisee’s of Judaism.
1 Then some Pharisees and teachers of the law came to Jesus from Jerusalem and asked, 2 “Why do your disciples break the tradition of the elders? They don’t wash their hands before they eat!”
3 Jesus replied, “And why do you break the command of God for the sake of your tradition? 4 For God said, ‘Honor your father and mother’ and ‘Anyone who curses their father or mother is to be put to death.’5 But you say that if anyone declares that what might have been used to help their father or mother is ‘devoted to God,’6 they are not to ‘honor their father or mother’ with it. Thus you nullify the word of God for the sake of your tradition. 7 You hypocrites! Isaiah was right when he prophesied about you:
8 “‘These people honor me with their lips,
but their hearts are far from me.
9 They worship me in vain;
their teachings are merely human rules.”
Jesus Let’s Them Have It
A Warning Against Hypocrisy
23 Then Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples: 2 “The teachers of the lawand the Pharisees sit in Moses’ seat. 3 So you must be careful to do everything they tell you. But do not do what they do, for they do not practice what they preach.4 They tie up heavy, cumbersome loads and put them on other people’s shoulders, but they themselves are not willing to lift a finger to move them.
5 “Everything they do is done for people to see: They make their phylacteries[a] wide and the tassels on their garments long; 6 they love the place of honor at banquets and the most important seats in the synagogues; 7 they love to be greeted with respect in the marketplaces and to be called ‘Rabbi’ by others.
8 “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. 9 And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. 10 Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah. 11 The greatest among you will be your servant. 12 For those who exalt themselves will be humbled, and those who humble themselves will be exalted.
Seven Woes on the Teachers of the Law and the Pharisees
13 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You shut the door of the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor will you let those enter who are trying to.
15 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when you have succeeded, you make them twice as much a child of hell as you are.
16 “Woe to you, blind guides! You say, ‘If anyone swears by the temple, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gold of the temple is bound by that oath.’17 You blind fools! Which is greater: the gold, or the temple that makes the gold sacred? 18 You also say, ‘If anyone swears by the altar, it means nothing; but anyone who swears by the gift on the altar is bound by that oath.’ 19 You blind men! Which is greater: the gift, or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 20 Therefore, anyone who swears by the altar swears by it and by everything on it. 21 And anyone who swears by the temple swears by it and by the one who dwells in it. 22 And anyone who swears by heaven swears by God’s throne and by the one who sits on it.
23 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You give a tenthof your spices—mint, dill and cumin. But you have neglected the more important matters of the law—justice, mercy and faithfulness. You should have practiced the latter, without neglecting the former. 24 You blind guides! You strain out a gnat but swallow a camel.
25 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You clean the outside of the cup and dish, but inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.26 Blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of the cup and dish, and then the outside also will be clean.
27 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of the bones of the dead and everything unclean. 28 In the same way, on the outside you appear to people as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and wickedness.
29 “Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the graves of the righteous. 30 And you say, ‘If we had lived in the days of our ancestors, we would not have taken part with them in shedding the blood of the prophets.’ 31 So you testify against yourselves that you are the descendants of those who murdered the prophets. 32 Go ahead, then, and complete what your ancestors started!
33 “You snakes! You brood of vipers! How will you escape being condemned to hell?34 Therefore I am sending you prophets and sages and teachers. Some of them you will kill and crucify; others you will flog in your synagogues and pursue from town to town. 35 And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 Truly I tell you, all this will come on this generation.
37 “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you,how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing. 38 Look, your house is left to you desolate. 39 For I tell you, you will not see me again until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord.’
There’s Good News
Jesus said “Come unto me… and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28) Religion can’t save you; only relationship and that comes through humility and repentance. Christ says in John 10:9 “I am the door: by me if any man enter in he shall be saved…”
The truth is the religious sit in every religion in the world even the ones that claim not to be a religion. However, they are by way of their ritualistic practices. Christian, Islam, Buddhists, Hindu, Satanists (who claim not to be a religion, but that’s a lie), various world spiritualistic practices, etc. With every religion there are rituals and many of these rituals attempt to take the place of a relationship with a Living God, Jesus and they give us a false sense of security or power. Religion is full of blindness and spiritual deception.
Perhaps there are more religious in some churches than others, but the intention is all the same, to keep God’s Children from finding His path for their life. Jesus hated religion and He still does. Nothing has changed, the packaging just looks different. Being religious is personal. It’s a question for every person to ask of themselves. Where is my heart? Is my heart for God’s will or my own? Let’s get in real relationship with God and do the will of the Father. Seek first, His kingdom and then all these things you desire shall be added unto you. Seek His kingdom by seeking his face with all your heart, soul, mind and strength.
Keep Your Eye On The Bottom-Line
Walk humbly with your God.
And all these things you desire shall be added to you.
And here’s the secret: Do all things knowing you are in the sight of the Lord.
The Lord’s Way Is Better
The spiritual gift of exhortation is alive. This gift penetrates the heart and our convictions to make us strong. I encourage you to listen and accept that thing the Lord is calling you to. “You will feel My pleading today” says the Lord.
Transform us today Father a little more. Transform our mind and our thinking to give us the mind of Christ, who humbled Himself to the Father’s will. Sometimes the Lord calls us to unusual things, He tries us to see if we will we be willing to do what He asks. Will you be controversial for Christ? Will you carry a pit in your stomach and be brave today? Will you be willing to be uncomfortable in this life to follow Him? If you will, His grace will sustain you. Patient endurance is what we’re called to.
I am not a patient person naturally. This is an area in my own life where the Lord has rung me out. Impatient people want they want and they want it right now. The ringing out process takes the me out. It hurts our personality to learn patience and it is all for the better to become less of ourselves and more like Jesus.
We’ve got to learn to be unreasonable because God does not always show up in a pretty little box.
Teachings of Jesus
Matthew 10:35-39 says:
35 ‘I have come to set a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law. 36 Your enemies will be right in your own household!’
37 “If you love your father or mother more than you love me, you are not worthy of being mine; or if you love your son or daughter more than me, you are not worthy of being mine.
38 If you refuse to take up your cross and follow me, you are not worthy of being mine.
39 If you cling to your life, you will lose it; but if you give up your life for me, you will find it.
God will destroy anything that doesn’t work in us for His purpose. That breaking hurts, but it is a necessary breaking. It is the breaking of strongholds. He will test us and prove us. Why do we remain surprised? Jesus was a miracle worker and we can follow in those foot steps, but it’s going to take something for us to do that.
Or perhaps you think you have arrived in this area, like Peter at the Lord’s Supper. The Lord put him in his place gently and let Peter know he would deny Him three time before the rooster crowed. It’s amazing what the Lord will take us through to humble us. He is the potter, we are the clay.
The Lord is birthing in us our destiny. Each day we should be praying that we take steps and make decisions that will line up to that end. When we begin to see our life from that perspective, it will help us to get out of the Lord’s way and provide us more peace during this journey. We must set ourselves, our time and our motives to the side so that the Lord’s will can rise up inside us.
Our own imaginations must be cast down so that the Lord’s true vision will be seen. The Lord is a visual and auditory God and He wants us to see Him and hear Him. He said, “my sheep hear my voice and they follow me”.
There are many things happening in your life that seem senseless and painful, but they are in preparation for your God destiny. Pray to see the deeper meaning behind your sufferings. The enemy will come full force and whisper all kinds of things to make you give up and question God’s goodness, but the Lord’s grace is sufficient even with the thorn in your side, so keep standing. Relief is coming soon, says the Lord.
For me I believe the biggest area where I needed a spiritual breakthrough was is in the area of making mistakes. You see, I am a natural perfectionist, I despise making mistakes. My Dad set me up poorly in this regard. He told me as a little girl, a C is average for other people, not for a Stafford. We are not average, a B is average for a Stafford and we’re not average.” What this told me was that only an A was acceptable. I battle this need to not make mistakes every day, to feel like I can measure up. I know I’m not alone in this. We will never measure up, but we can strive to live worthy of our calling.
Three weeks ago the Lord said to me, “Jenene, the reason you are moving at the pace of a snail is because you are afraid to make mistakes.” Ouch! That hurt, but I was so incredibly grateful for that Word. Always at the core is fear. Fear is what holds us back too often.
Pray to be led by spiritual perception and have your needs be secondary in your approach to God. Seek to perceive God’s will so that the Spirit of revelation will arise in your life. This way of approaching your prayer life was shown to us by Jesus, however we have learned to memorize it, but not let it saturate our soul. : (1:Honor His name) Our Father, which art in heaven, hallowed be thy Name, (2nd: submit to His will) thy Kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. (3rd: Provision) Give us this day our daily bread and (4:Forgiveness) Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us (5: Lead us) and lead us not into temptation, (6: Deliver Us From ) but deliver us from evil (7: Honor His Authority) for thine is the Kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen
You have your voice inside you and God’s voice. We want God’s voice to come to the surface because that voice is the one that is sealed to our destiny. God wants to hear His voice shine through you because His own Word is what has power, love and grace. His Word is what Jesus Himself prophesied and used as the weapon to overcome the enemy’s temptation.
I hope this makes sense to you. I know some of this stuff is deep and with a seeker friendly Church at large we don’t hear the deeper Truth at the pulpit often enough. I believe this place is anointed for those Christians who are ready to break out and grow up spiritually speaking.
I pray for a revolutionary shift in your will today in order to be worthy of God’s call. Lord, I am asking you to oppose anything that is not in your will. “The flood is coming to Sacramento”, says the Lord. Amen
The night that Jesus was about to be betrayed and preparing to go the cross, He was troubled. In the Garden of Gethsemane He went to pray to the Father and He asked the apostles to keep watch. You likely know the story that they fell asleep three times. Consistently the Lord repeats Himself in threes when He really wants to make a point. The fact that Peter fell asleep three times and then denied Christ three times and was asked by Jesus, do you love me? three times sends a strong message in preparation for Peter as the rock of the early foundation of the Church.
Then He came to the disciples and found them asleep, and said to Peter, “What? Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.” And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then He came to His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. “Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.”
Matthew 16:18 says “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Often times verse 19 gets missed in getting the whole picture of the power and authority that Jesus was giving to Peter and Jesus Christ’s leaders today. 19 “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
The lessons Peter was learning were a sifting of the enemy and used to humble Peter to recognize he could not accomplish his calling as Peter the rock if he didn’t have a wake up call to what it meant to follow Jesus. More importantly in the big scheme of things, was the willingness Peter needed to have to build the early foundation. He needed to understand (1) the schemes of satan, (2) the value of prophecy being fulfilled and he needed to have a (3) huge burden for the lambs and sheep.
I can only imagine that Jesus was thinking I wish I didn’t have to go to this extent to undo the damage of Lucifer, who lost his angelic title as the “light bearer” and became satan, the great deceiver of the nations and the deceiver of Israel. However, can you imagine how it must have felt for a Sovereign God to watch His chosen become completely blinded by satan the author of paganism, evil, idolatry and deception. When I try to my get small human mind around this I can’t even handle it, but I get a sense that if it were me or you, we would be infuriated with wrath. When I think of how blind my own children are and watch the enemy toy with them constantly it infuriates me. So it was with God. This is really the story of the Old Testament and the New Covenant through Jesus Christ.
As Jesus knew the only way for the prophecy to be fulfilled was to go to the cross and take upon Himself the wrath of God, which was the cup He was referring to when He said to the Father, but if there’s any other way, then let this cup pass. He knew there was no other way. Jesus had to die by the hands of the Jews to fulfill prophecy and He had to rise again to confirm His Messianic authority.
The Church That Fell Asleep
In Revelation Ch 2 and 3 there is a message to the Churches from Christ that basically puts the errors of the church into 7 different categories of the things Christ Himself has against the Church. I am going to start teaching about these various character flaws in the Church. Even though theses were messages that John was taking to certain churches, they are prophetic. For this blog I want to talk about the Church that has fallen asleep.
These are the words of him who holds the seven spiritsb of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. 3Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
4Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. 6Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
If I take what Jesus is saying to heart, and I do, I believe right now He is preparing to to be the Sovereign Judge of the Church. He said above ” what you have received and heard, hold it fast and repent” and also I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God”. In the Garden Jesus said, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation”.
I want to remind you of what happened in the Garden of Gethsemane because Peter and the two brothers fell asleep. I believe Jesus spoke directly to Peter letting him know He was accountable for the other two. He was also establishing Peter’s leadership role.
Also, he refers to this Church as falling asleep and not knowing when Jesus will come like a thief. When He comes to this Church he will say “your deeds were unfinished in the sight of my God because you fell asleep.”
Sometimes it can seem like Scripture is contradicting itself and that’s because we don’t study it enough or investigate further. The Bible is a Book of Miracles and Miracle Workers. It’s a story of prophets, disciples, kings, judges, apostles and disciples that overcame evil through God the Father and Jesus the Son. It is a prophetic book and that’s why we need the Holy Spirit to teach us and help us understand.
The Bible says, in Jeremiah 11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
So if we are not finding the above Scripture to be true in our life, perhaps we have fallen asleep. If that is the case, the only reason we don’t see the plan or the good is because we have fallen asleep and this is another open doorway of the enemy.
Everything the Lord has against the Church is caused by a spiritual tactic of the enemy. Everything. I say that because I know God is good and His plans are good and dark spiritual forces are used to do evil. Anything that goes against God’s plan is evil at work in our lives. With free choice, we often give the right-of-way to the enemy and we are not using the keys to the kingdom of heaven, but rather opening doorways into the kingdom of darkness. The keys to the kingdom teach us how to be OVERCOMERS with authority while we’re here battling. This word “authority” is extremely important to learn to live by as a Christian because the enemy will steal authority where you will allow him to all day long.
12 In those days when you pray, I will listen.13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”He says, 11 I have “plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope”. He refers to in those days, that time is NOW. He is referring to end times. God is listening He is not being silent like He was 2400 years ago. It’s a great time to talk to God. But, let’s not forget verse 13, “If you look for me WHOLEHEARTEDLY, you will find me.
So stay awake, repent, get back on the horse, talk to God and open your eyes bigger because God’s eyes are scouring the earth to find worthy souls. And satan and his kingdom, they are seeking vulnerable ones. Who can be more vulnerable than someone who is asleep.
Obviously the Lord has a lot of deeds for us to do and we want to accomplish those deeds and not waste time on the ones outside of His will. We must rise with authority.
As much as I have had my fill of satan and all his demonic forces, we cannot be blind anymore because the time is too short. It is not possible to love a Christ without believing that we have an enemy. That is a Church that is asleep and many will come to know that satan does exist perhaps after it’s too late if we don’t start growing up, spiritually speaking. The statistics for Christians who do not believe in satan or hell are tremendous. They are completely and blindly missing the mark.
I write this blog today because the visions that the Lord is showing me have changed in the last few years and even more dramatically in recent months so I know the spiritual season is changing. The Sovereign God and the Judge of the Churches is coming sooner than we think. Last week as I was praying and asking Jesus to show me His face, this is the face He showed me below:
Revelation 1:13-16-And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
I have never seen this particular face of Jesus until now. Help me wake up the church. The Judge is coming. Please pass this blog on by liking it or tweeting it out.
We must know in our bones God’s heart for equality and wholeness in the body of Christ then live our lives out of that truth, with invitation and joy, as living prophets of God’s way of life. -Sarah Bessey
Beautiful! Beautiful! I love that quote. I really don’t know if it’s possible to put into words how full of joy my heart is to see the Church rising up and coming together to realize we’ve got to focus on our similarities and set aside our differences, but there’s more to go. I’ve been on a rant about this in my head for years now. My heart has been broken so many times as I’ve talked with my daughters that aren’t following Christ. I have heard their arguments about “the Church” and they are valid points. It has taken a long time to get this place of grace in a place where grace was created.
The brokenness of Church leadership impacts American society, the world and our culture. Some churches are getting on board and becoming more accountable to how far their reach can go in the world, however too many still are not. It’s time for a powerful move of God and new strategies to reach the world outside the Church walls. When the world is starting to notice the good works we’re doing we know that our Father in heaven is being glorified and we as His children are transforming into His True leaders. The Church needs exhortation to boldly call them to a higher understanding of expanded leadership.
I believe what we’re seeing now is evidence that God’s Spirit is moving and expanding and preparing us because the time is seriously drawing near. We are learning oh so slowly, but nonetheless learning, how to love each other and the peoples of the world.
Once again it is time to stand up and lead with the Spirit of God at the helm and create a new generation of Spirit-led leaders that can affect culture. Leadership really is about calling out the greatness and value of another human being, calling out their determination and allowing for the freedom to be uniquely inspired by God.
I have prayed for nearly four years looking for clarity on where to focus my efforts in order to accomplish the prophetic vision the Lord gave me to bring healing to the nations. I am getting clearer and clearer that if we want world change and to change the eternity of a world crying out for Truth, then our leaders must lead boldly with God’s will leading the charge. My God-inspired vision is to call out greatness and transformation in God’s leaders and this will accommodate for my burning desire to see God’s Church rise up, put our selves aside, and finally lead like Jesus. The burden I carry are for the lost, broken, homeless and enslaved. These real cultural and world issues can only be eradicated by God’s Holy Spirit working through His leaders. Leaders need an explosive awakening and quickening to a fresh perspective on the possibilities of the Great Commission if we choose to take it seriously. Where there is no leadership there is decline. Where there is leadership there is transformation and growth.
So many leaders have given up or become resigned to what they are seeing going on around them. We need to stop complaining about it and do something. I am learning the Lord’s hand isn’t moved by our complaining. There is no value in it in our direct dealings with God. I truly believe we will be surprised when the Church finally realizes that we’re not only responsible for our churches, but also for what is happening and has happened around the world for thousands of years. It is no wonder, the Lord prophetically spoke regarding the future, (paraphrasing) many in that day will say Lord Lord we did all these great things in your name and we cast out demons in your name and still Jesus will say, I never knew you. The big BECAUSE is- becauseyou did not do the will of My Father in heaven. Don’t kid your self we can easily be led astray by the enemy in our spiritual gifts and stop following God. Let’s get on board with God’s will minute by minute and in each step we take. That is true authentic commitment to Christ by submission.
We need more leaders willing to say what needs to be said. We need more leaders to have an awakening to their responsibility to Christ Himself. We need more leaders to recognize the gift we have to be able to go into the Holy of Holies and see miracles happen as we bring our best offerings to Him. We need the warrior to rise up inside us and fight for a Church that WILL BE JUDGED because Jesus commissioned us to go into the nations and it is about time we get serious about this. In my Lord’s name I pray for a miracle in the mind’s and hearts of His leader’s today.
I can hear Him now saying, “rise, rise, rise”. Yes Lord. Amen
