This is a controversial subject about the rapture of the Church. It is open for debate between you and God, but not between you and me. As I’ve said many times on my blog, my goal is to draw you closer to Jesus Christ and His Holy Bible so if you disagree with something I write, then ask the Lord yourself. I will always attempt to persuade you to pray, read the Bible for yourself, investigate and let the Holy Spirit be your guiding light and the Director of the steps you take.
A Little Bit of My Background
I was raised for the most part in a charismatic Pentecostal Church (without snakes), with a couple years as a Jehovah’s Witness as a young child and a Latter Day Saint Mormon as a young teenager. That was also short lived as I discovered the incredible flaws and contradictions to the Bible. I was then sent to a conservative Baptist Church for about seven years, back to my loving childhood Pentecostal roots and for the last four years we are part of a New Covenant Church, called Bayside of Citrus Heights in California. When I came here, I was upset with God because I said, “where are the pews and the altars?” Being a woman of prayer and receiving so much grace from praying and laying on of hands, it really bothered me not having some of the things I was accustomed to in the way of religious worship and practice. However, the Lord showed me that He has a bigger plan and that He is everywhere and He has the grace to allow for the mistakes/theological differences in His Church. As imperfect beings we are not going to get everything right. This topic of the Rapture is one that many Christians vary on and I think it’s about time we stop taking our Pastor’s word for it and go to the Word of God ourselves.
Every Church Has Something Wrong
It has always bothered me tremendously when Christians say negative things about each other because I see it as insulting to God and lacking maturity. It is why you will always hear me say I am a Follower of Jesus, rather than a Baptist or Pentecostal, or whatever. Not to say, I am bothered by any True Christian who chooses to put a label on themselves. I choose to label myself based on the relationship I have with Jesus and what He calls me to do. I am a Jesus woman, a woman seeking after the heart of Jesus and the deeper truths of what He taught through Scripture. I live to be guided by His Holy Spirit and I remain imperfect, however fervently desire to do God’s will rather than my own.
I believe Jesus points it out clearly that it was by design (Ephesians 4:11-16) that we would not all be the same and why. This should not be a secret to any Bible studying and believing Christian. His Holy Word is right even if we as His Church get our interpretations wrong. We are to love one another in our differences and stop trying to prove how right we are, but prove how right His Word is. If we spent more time studying the Word and less time insulting and gossiping about each other the Army of God would be much stronger in our cause for Christ. Now more than ever is the time to understand the implications of a healthy or unhealthy body of Christ. The Lord asked me to help Him heal His Church over three years ago. He said, “my body is sick and it is not functioning well.”I didn’t know exactly what He meant at first, but it is growing ever clearer. With the times rapidly growing closer to the Great Tribulation we need to understand that Jesus the Judge is coming and perhaps the Church in the last Century has misinterpreted some things on the topic of the rapture.
Are we really going to escape what looks like prophetically could happen at any moment? What if it happens later than we think and we should be preparing the Church and humanity for what is to come during the Great Tribulation rather than getting ready to go on a long awaited vacation. In case, you are wondering, I have always thought we would escape the horrors, but I am unsure and leaning towards the evidence pointing to God’s Church being more useful here rather than gone. It’s not enough for me to say that, however, without delving into the Scripture, putting what I’ve heard from the pulpit to the side and investigating for myself. This video provides alot in the way of helping you research this out so you can determine and pray about it for yourself.
I hesitate to share some of these things at times because I really want you to determine for yourself and I don’t want anyone saying that Jenene said this or said that. But, putting my fear aside, some things like this topic of the pre-tribulation rapture are very critical I believe because the implications are great and we will be held accountable.
Do the research. I think the Pre-tribulation is very popular in Christianity, but something about it has always not set well with me and I’m wondering if there are others feeling the same way. There is nothing to lose to prepare to be here during the Tribulation period, but alot to lose if we’re wrong and we’re unprepared. Perhaps it is better to err on the side of preparing for what is worse, yet hoping for the best. Perhaps thinking we’re escaping sooner than we are will cause the Church to be slack and not remember what we are here for, the Great Commission. Go and make disciples of all men until Jesus returns. Don’t be comfortable, lazy, asleep or lukewarm ever as Jesus speaks of judging the seven churches in Revelation Chapter 1-4 and this applies to His Church worldwide, not a specific Church age as some would say. It would make no sense to interpret the Judgement of the Church in Revelation in the context of what happened in the past because we know the Book of Revelation is a Book to tell us about what is to come. It is a Book of WARNING.
We are called to overcome during a life of tribulation and then we will receive our crowns and we may be here during the Great Tribulation which could be less than seven years. There will be a Rapture, but when? I’m just saying . . .scripturally speaking check it out for yourself.
I’m always amazed to see that deep down, we really are on a journey to accept ourselves and to learn to unleash the “ragamuffin” inside. Jesus is in the reckless ragamuffin.
Whatever is “religious” the reckless ragamuffin is the complete opposite. I want to be like that all the time. I want to be fully me because in that love and acceptance of myself, I hear Jesus whispering, be brave, be yourself, then people will see me. It seems like a strange paradox because we can’t really be fully ourselves until we’ve emptied ourselves of ourselves. Jesus is the cup that overflows in me. The true nature of God breathes in the person willing to boldly walk like Jesus walked and love like Jesus loved. We are the ones that from a distance people say, that’s one unusual chick! I’m ok with that. Up close and personal people say you inspire me to be more like Jesus. That’s a legacy worth living. So, it’s worth it when people don’t get me, to know the ones that do, experience the love of Jesus. The ragamuffin’s are the free spirited Christians who will not conform to religion, but are willing to be totally transformed by the miraculous grace of Jesus Christ.
Rich Mullins was the best at being a reckless Ragamuffin for Jesus. He left you wanting more of Jesus and more of life lived spirited and in the moment. The story of his life is playing around the country now. I’m pretty sure it will be playing on the Big Screen soon. I am so glad. He was a walking living testimony of God’s incredible poetic nature in a simple man. Watching this musician on stage pour himself out and Jesus right along with him is exhilarating! He leaves you wanting more. Truth is, we want to be like that, don’t we? We want to get beyond being held back. It’s a journey to realize that fame, fortune, money, fitting in and all that stuff is a facade that keeps the true you bound up. However, Jesus came to set the captives free.
When Jesus captivates us we will captivate others and the freedom cycle of making disciples lives on. That’s what the apostles were all about. Jesus had something special to offer and nothing could compare. That kind of spiritual freedom was worth their life. They were glad to lay down their lives for the message of Jesus’s grace. Fame and fortune won’t bring honor or glory that lasts. I hope this musician man, Rich Mullins touches this new generation of youth. He was ahead of his time, but I believe the youth of this day are ready for him. Rich unveils the Truth that making Jesus famous has deep implications that last an eternity all the while touching humanity on every level. He removes all boundaries and perceptions of who is worthy to be loved by the Lord Jesus. What a legacy! I wish I would have known him personally, surely I would have called him brother. Watch the trailer here and Amy Grant as well as other people’s testimonies of what an extraordinarily unique Christian he was, here. You will be so inspired to just let go and let Jesus work miracles in your life.
I’m always amazed by how many Christians claim to have the gift of spiritual discernment. It concerns me because in this day and age we really need the real thing. In the end times knowledge is at all time high so we can easily be persuaded if we are discerning from a natural perspective, rather than a spiritual one. I think it’s even more difficult to discern things spiritually when we are naturally gifted at decision making. It may seem strange, but perhaps those people who have found themselves praying a lot to make better decisions, could be the ones who have a gift of discernment.
When I ask people what their spiritual gifts are I will hear “discernment” more than any other gift. For myself I even hesitate to say I have this gift because I recognize the challenge we have. Often we have to go against what the natural eye sees and perceives. If you find yourself using common sense and thinking this is discernment it’s likely not the case. Common sense and discernment are not the same, not even close. We’ve got to lay aside ourselves and ask Jesus to help us discern without logic. That seems weird right? I’m not saying that there won’t end up being logic inside the discernment after all is said and done. I am saying that we are not to discern through it.
Learning to discern spiritually, is asking God to help us see like Him. Help us to hear like Him. To nudge our gut based on the Holy Spirit not on bias, logic or evidence. The evidence that you’ve discerned right can show up sometimes way later. There is no need to discern a spirit that is blatantly going against the Word of God or pointing people to unbiblical doctrines. The gift of discernment, like all spiritual gifts, requires us being so connected to God that you fear getting off His path, this is submission of the gift. We’ve got to pray to remain acutely spiritually aware and in tune with His knowledge, not our own. He sees the future, He knows the BIG PICTURE better than even the strongest prophets. Even they only saw in part and prophesied in part.
Wisdom About Discernment
I found this content below and I thought from my own experience regarding discernment that it was spot on. I hope this helps you understand this gift of discernment more. If you discover you don’t have the gift, don’t worry. Just focus on the spiritual gifts you do have. The Lord made the body with all it’s many parts and spiritual gifts and His plan is just perfect.
(The information below was found herehttp://www.acts17-11.com/dialogs_gift_discernment.html)
For it is not about having good antennae in the flesh, it is about staring at Jesus and waiting for His strength, power, wisdom, life, and leading. It is about dying and being resurrected into new life. When the real thing comes it is MILES from the natural in character and effect. When it doesn’t, it is a drag, since flesh by itself stinks. I have had some scandalous failures in the past, but this has humbled and humiliated me–which is good. This internet “sensory deprivation” thing–both where we have done well and failed–has been an excellent training ground. Now when I meet someone, I deliberately try to tune-out what I perceive in the flesh, and simply ask God for discernment in how to respond or not. They say the blind develop heightened senses in other areas. This is a good metaphor for becoming blind in our fleshly abilities such that our spiritual gifts might be awakened by faith and grow.
2Co 5:7 (KJV) For we walk by faith, not by sight.Phil 3:7 (NIV) But whatever was to my profit [Paul's fine human capabilities, skills, accomplishments] I now consider loss for the sake of Christ. What is more, I consider everything a loss compared to the surpassing greatness of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish [KJV: dung] that I may gain Christ.
“I can discern things; but I have very low knowledge of Biblical teachings. Is it possible to have one without the other?
I believe it is, if it is the real spiritual stuff. If it is just a natural “hunch”, of course, you will not find confirmation later–either from yourself or others–through scripture and/or simply the way things play out.
Here I will offer some insights that might not be shared by many in the current “puffed up with knowledge” Christian environment that we live in. I am of the view that discernment is not knowledge based, but I suspect that many in the modern church would disagree. For example, Hank Hannegraf nearly always uses Scripture to discern and calls his a “discernment” ministry, but I think this incorrect. By using Scripture, his is a “knowledge” and/or an “understanding” or “teaching” ministry. Discernment is more elemental than human thought, more in the domain of the heart or spirit and not so much the mind–except as a conclusion afterwards. In scripture, it is “discernment of spirits” not “discernment of knowledge” or “discernment of facts”; and spirits must be spiritually discerned.
1Cor 12:7-10 (NKJ) But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to each one for the profit of all: for to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, …to another discerning of spirits…1John 4:1 (NAS) …test the spirits to see whether they are from God…
The major categories of spirits are 1) God, 2) the devil (or world, if you will: Js 3:15), and 3) the flesh. People with mature discernment can tell the difference between flesh and spirit in themselves and others, thus the difficulty and learning needed at the outset to grow in the gift. They can also perceive the demonic as acute pain, angst, or discord in their spirits. But many in the body do not want to “submit” to this gift, exalting knowledge (biblical, in particular) above all. This is very inefficient and misapplied… even silly at times. For example, you (I suspect) could tell a man from a woman (in most cases) without doing a hormone test, no? The hormone test is like “finding a scripture”–much more accurate for difficult cases; but it is inefficient and silly (even bullying?) to insist on this in every case. Most often you can just tell.So it is with discernment. If it were simply a matter of looking up scriptures, then why a separate gift from knowledge, wisdom, and understanding?
Given this, I have felt led in the last few years not to provide scriptural support if this was not the basis of my conclusion–and normally with real discernment it is not–even if I can come at it from this angle, which I most often can. While this has not gone over well with a few people, predictably, I feel it is time to burst the swollen knowledge bubble. It is like having spiritual smell–why pretend we saw something we really smelled just to make those without smell feel better? And smell can go around corners and into places that sight can’t. Now I just tell them: “that is demonic” pure and simple. Scripture only tells us to discern and is not case specific. My freedom in this boldness is that God (if He can be taken at His word <smiles>) always confirms by two or three.
Mat 18:16 (NIV) …”‘every matter may be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.’”2Cor 13:1 (NIV) “Every matter must be established by the testimony of two or three witnesses.”
Thus, we should never, ever, submit to one man’s prophecy, discernment, or whatever–cult like. If it is really God, then He will confirm it His way. Sometimes the second or third witness is simply the Holy Spirit in us going “YEAH!” (1Jn 5:7-9) but God never breaks His own rules. Thus, we are free to take risks and not worry about misleading anyone, for it is really God then He will get the glory by doing it His way: through at least two or three separate witnesses. This does not work so well in most modern churches, because the “witnesses” are afraid to death (in the pride of flesh) that they might be wrong and thus paralyzed into inactivity. Well, they will never know or learn until they try.
Discerners are given to the body like a nose: they are to sniff things out and give advance warning to that which is gross or moldy or toxic, as well as what might be glorious, gorgeous, or splendid. When we discern, we need no hype or “authority”, we can just simply state in humility and the freedom that Christ has provided in the new-wineskin structure (such as “by two or three”). What people do with this information is up to them and God, but we must speak if prompted by the Holy Spirit with strong discernment within.
In conclusion, my advice might run counter to popular opinion, but I am of the view that discernment has little to do with how much scripture you know, but is more like an ability to see or “smell” into the spirit world. You would do well to learn more of the Bible, and you are doing this… but I think you will find this more like outside confirmation than applying to the basic gift; it will be like getting the hormone test results back on the “queen” that you knew in an instant was not a woman.
Well, if I am right, you will have a tough row to hoe with all the “knowledge touters” beating you up, rejecting your gift, or asking for “hormone tests” from you… and the like; but be bold and know that if it is really Christ-in-you then He will confirm it later even if people reject it now. Remember, it is His glory we are after, not ours. And when it comes to any deficiency in knowledge that you might have, if you are submitting to Christ’s body in your life, then this might well come mainly from others–for this is how God wants it to be. Are all the nose or hand? Just be the nose and get real good at it, and if you are rejected then remember how this felt when you are tempted to reject the foot or some other part. Because sometimes we cut off our noses just to spite our face. For God wants us to be interdependent, that is why He gives gifts “as He chooses”.
We really need each other.
Idolatry Hiding in The Church
Jesus said,”go and make disciples of all men.” Hmm. Did we miss something in the Church? Could it be that we are understanding this at a minimal level and we need to go deeper to grab hold of the Great Commission in its fullest potential? I believe that is absolutely the case. We have been tricked once again by the enemy’s schemes inside the Church.
We think if we can remain safe in our Church culture and be as Holy as possible we will remain untainted by the ugliness of the world. Can I ask you, how do we reach the nations then? Jesus said GO! He didn’t say wait for all the evil people to show up on your doorstep. He said, “do not reject an evil man.” Jesus was brave and he didn’t conform to the religious Pharisees, he reamed their hypocritical nature and called them snakes. He was angry because their attitudes were debilitating to the people, not life-giving. Anyone who is a hypocrite is also an idolater. Oh, wait a minute? I thought that the “evil” people worshipping satan and music and celebrities and cult leaders they were the idolators? Think again.
What did you think would hurt God more? His own Children committing idolatry blindly inside His beloved Church or people who were ignorant outside the Church? C’mon! His Church is sick. This is why. We aren’t getting it. We’re supposed to be out there in the world, but not part of the world. We’re supposed to be influencing culture, not sitting back and judging culture and doing absolutely nothing about it, except for gossiping about it. That’s disgusting to me as a True Follower of Jesus. How do we miss this unless we are so blinded by our own idolatry of worshipping our own religious convictions, rather than seeking spiritual convictions from Jesus Himself. Jesus is pleading with me, seriously Church, I am feeling His pain and it is literally making me sick. He has asked me to help Him heal His body? Seem strange? It did to me too until I got what He meant. He built the Church to bring healing to the world. How do we do that when we are sick ourselves?
Open your eyes. Pray. Listen. God is convicting His Church right now about this. It is preparation time, it is a day of mercy and Truth. The truth is, when the Jews (God’s chosen) absolutely refused to get how being religious lacked the nature of leadership, compassion and love, the apostles said “ok, let’s go and adopt the Gentiles then into the family of Christ.” I got news for you, Jesus is calling people out of cults, out of the occult and out of every disgusting form of evil because, like the Jews, too many so-called Christians are sitting on the sidelines doing nothing. So Jesus is going deeper. He went from the Jews, to the Gentiles and now He’s really going deep and He’s going to personally grab hold of the hearts of the children of darkness and turn them into the children of Light. These folks, they’re going to battle for Jesus because they know better than anyone the way the enemy is scheming, affecting the Church and culture. I don’t know if it should be this way, but I know it is this way. That’s the Jesus I serve, He will adjust His tactics according to culture to win every soul given to Him by the Father. I am His daughter and I will not be silent about this behavior in the Church. We were born to fight for lost souls, we were born to set the captives free, not be held captive ourselves by religion or the idolatry of comfort, while the enemy sits back and laughs in our face.
The Jews were writing the book on religion and playing God. We aren’t God! Yet when we don’t listen and can’t get over our self-limiting selves and we put God in a box and make Him fit into our pretty picture of religion. How are we different than the Jews of Jesus’ day? You see it just sneaks up on us when we stay comfortable in our own environment and soon we have the mentality of a cult, but everyone’s quiet about it.
Cult vs Culture
Most people think of someone like a Jim Jones when they think of being part of a cult (See definition 1 below). That’s the extreme definition. However, satan is pretty clever. In the Christian Church cultish thinking is a lot less noticeable. Christians might have the mentality of a cult member without having a leader who is a cult leader. Still, people revere the Pastor and the conventional ways of their Church environment, often times more than Jesus and it’s another form of idolatry. Even with a Pastor’s best intentions to keep their congregation set on following Jesus, some of us old school Christians can fall prey to this out of an unhealthy reverence (See definition 3 and 4). Especially if we’re not actively working for Christ and in a close personal relationship with Him. It’s a word of caution for those who get too comfortable. Comfortable can mean asleep.
1. A religion or religious sect generally considered to be extremist or false, with its followers often living in an unconventional manner under the guidance of an authoritarian, charismatic leader.
2. The followers of such a religion or sect.
3. A system or community of religious worship and ritual.
4. The formal means of expressing religious reverence; religious ceremony and ritual.
Healing The Nations
the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively.
“20th century popular culture”
the arts, the humanities, intellectual achievement;
The enemy and His Kingdom are here to “destroy the nations”. They’re the evil guys trying to take down humanity. We were adopted by the Savior of Mankind, Jesus, to become Children of God and walk in His footsteps to change the world and people’s lives. Satan’s got two big goals, (1) affect the culture, and (2) keep Christ’s Church busy being deaf, blind, silent, sick and religious. This way God’s Army will be so busy feeling good about themselves they will miss entirely what the enemy is doing to our culture, country and the nations. Now is the time to wake up and get ready for Christ’s return, not by being comfortable, but by loving Him more than your own comfort. The Church should be angry with what is happening. However, who should we hold responsible? After all, Christ is coming back as the Judge to judge the Church. Were we not warned through the entire Holy Bible (prophetic Scriptures) that we would be fighting a good vs. evil battle? The whole idea of fighting, means you have an opponent, you are in battle not sitting on the sidelines, then when you have overcome, you will receive your reward. I know my Lord’s Church is bigger than this! I am praying, so fervently for Christ’s warriors to rise up and fight for mankind, the way Jesus taught us to.
Media, Music & Television
I admit that I’m not much of a tv person at all. I’m mostly a geek and watch the History Channel or documentaries, but the Lord has been speaking to me about getting my head out of the sand as well. I do a lot of research on the internet on various topics relating to following the teachings of Jesus, supporting Israel and prophecy. Now that I have come up for air, I am blown away at what I am seeing and I’m quite positive that the majority of Christians don’t even know what is happening. Recently Jesus has supernaturally led me to see some things so I could understand why I am feeling a great sense of urgency to help heal the Church. He keeps asking me to pray to call out His Church, to rise up. He is calling His Church from out of the darkest of places into His light.
Spiritually speaking things took a shift. Being someone with strong spiritual intuition, I felt the change. However, even though the Lord told me in 2012 that 2013 would be a year of miracles I didn’t look for the evidence and it was one of the more difficult years of my life so I wasn’t looking for what He meant. The evidence showed up recently for me in more ways than one. The evidence is overwhelming that God is trying to tell us to prepare because the end is drawing near. He is shaking everything up. He is not acting predictably, if He ever did. The weather and very strange occurrences happened last year all signs to what is coming.
In 2012 The Illuminati symbols started showing up in the some of the super bowl and Emmy Awards performances. Starting with Madonna (2012), Beyonce (2013), and Katy Perry (2014). There are so many news articles about these satanic shows, you can do the research your self. There is no question, totally satanic and representing prophecy in some cases like Katy Perry’s show regarding the Dark Horse, which can be found in Revelation. Katy Perry also has love songs written to satan without question. I have listened and watched all of these things personally. You can go to google or Youtube to watch for yourself, but in the case of Katy Perry’s song I would not listen. If I had a young child or teenager, I would go to no end to make sure my child was avoiding this music and start educating your children. This music is extremely hypnotic, as the enemy is, and it sucks you in and numbs you out. It is a new day in the Kingdom of God. Time to wake up.
Quick Overview of End Time Prophecy
If we know anything about prophecy, most people know that Jesus is coming back and the very end times will have the world ruled by the “False Prophet, the Anti-christ and Satan. Hm. There’s the trinity. Satan loves to mock everything Jesus does. During that time, it will not be pretty on any level, politically, socially or economically. We will need to receive some kind of mark (Bible says 666), the mark of the beast, in order to survive, buy food or do anything controlled by the Government. Right now, it’s an interesting time to say the least, if you can see what’s happening.
The One-World Order
If one uses some logic, we can see a little bit that the talks are already happening to create a single currency, this is a key to what those involved are predicting to be answer to many of the world’s economic problems. Oh, but don’t be fooled. Things are never as they seem when it comes to the enemy. The world will have to evolve to the place of being blind to what is actually happening so that the False Prophet and the Anti-christ seem so sovereign and as if they’re the answer to the world’s problems. Even the elite are being fooled right now. Sadly people don’t know the Book of Revelation and the unchurched world is completely “CLUELESS” while Jesus’ Church is sitting on the sidelines being blind to our responsibility of the Great Commission to help. We’re called to reach our un-churched culture with the Truth of what is happening and is going to happen sooner than what you think. The Bible says we’ll just be going about our daily lives, not expecting the rapture to take place, one to go and another to be left behind.
Who Is Mostly Being Targeted
For several years now we’ve become aware to some degree to television and a burger commercial nearing r rated. That’s getting scary for us. But, that’s just the most obvious. Another scheme of the enemy is to have Christians and society see the most obvious so they’ll miss the less obvious. I admit it, It’s a brilliant scheme. Right now, while we’re worrying about sexy commercials and sex scenes on tv, there are satanic symbols in our children’s cartoons (like Sponge Bob), but nobody notices because nobody knows, especially not the Church. We’re the last ones to notice.
The Illuminati has been brought to our attention for a hundred years, but we’re still writing that off as just “one more conspiracy” theory. Two years ago, I would have been right there with ya! I stopped watching the news of any kind ten years ago until the Lord put social, economic, religion and political research on my daily ministry list. Sometimes, I do these research tasks kicking and screaming, but I still say, “thy will be done Lord.” There are days when I feel like my head could just explode so I have to pray, worship and study the Word a lot to keep my sanity from all the things I am realizing from a prophetic point of view. My responsibility overwhelms me at times and I literally cry over this burden to see Jesus’ Church rise up!
I can see two areas that are being targeted. It looks like this. Young people today just want to be loved and free to be themselves and let everyone else be free too. I can get behind that, but there’s just one problem with the everything is acceptable point of view. Without a stand for something “Sovereign” and true in your life, the doors are open to all kind of opportunities and many of these opportunities are proven to start out looking really good until you’re stuck in a web with the spider.
Music Industry (MTV, The Devils Playground)
So we have a bunch of former Christian music artists who have turned from Christian music to “satanic music”. I’m not talking about secular music, I’m literally saying satanic music. Honestly, I don’t know if they even all know yet or if they’re in a contract to sing certain lyrics and use certain occult symbolism. Perhaps some of them start out thinking hey this is what they’re saying is Pop culture so I’ll do it. Woops! Then you’re in the trap and how to get out alive would be the next question.Who better than to take down than the leaders of tomorrow from a battle perspective. Take down the ones that are supposed to be the strongest, the youth.
Let’s also, take down our little children in America too, with video games and iphones so they won’t need social skills or people in the future. They’ll just need a screen in front of them and won’t have a single clue how to fight from a spiritual or soul perspective. Their natural God-given, well-rounded design will be limited to a hypnotized brain that will only react to the satanic symbolism in order to lead them to destruction. The symbols are in many of the cartoons, I’ve seen them myself, so it tells me that the enemy is totally working to prepare our little tiny children for something sooner than we think. It seems like they’re being prepared and we’re being prepared for a depraved and soulless society. (My opinion). Shall we move on to MTV.
Approximately five years ago MTV’s office in Canada moved into a Masonic Lodge. They added the Illuminati logo above their MTV logo and you can see the Masonic Lodge words below in the photograph. I don’t watch MTV, but in my research I have come across a lot of evidence that clearly “pop culture” is a major focus, if not the main focus, for how to prepare for the False Prophet and Anti-christ rule. Perhaps there was a “hidden message” in the Bible when it said, the root of all evil is the love of money.” Perhaps this was actually a prophetic statement. Knowing this was the biggest way the enemy would trap people to worship and follow Him, even ignorantly in the last days.
This video below is a very revealing video and I think it sheds a lot of light on what I’m talking about. I’m not writing this to scare you. I’m writing this blog because first of all, the Lord told me to and second of all, it’s time to prepare, Church. The best way to prepare is to draw closer to Christ and start doing the will of the Father. Follow the path He lays out for you. Be aware and become a True Follower of Jesus. Choose to do what He asks even though it might be really hard. Tougher callings are ahead. Love the Lord thy God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. Rise up! He will never leave you or forsake you.
Watch This Video (Please watch. This is a Christian ministry that is committed to revealing the truth about how our culture is being prepared through music, media and secret societies, like The Illuminati. They cover various music groups and organizations throughout their videos. This is video number ten in their series The Truth Will Scare You of over 90 videos. )
The night that Jesus was about to be betrayed and preparing to go the cross, He was troubled. In the Garden of Gethsemane He went to pray to the Father and He asked the apostles to keep watch. You likely know the story that they fell asleep three times. Consistently the Lord repeats Himself in threes when He really wants to make a point. The fact that Peter fell asleep three times and then denied Christ three times and was asked by Jesus, do you love me? three times sends a strong message in preparation for Peter as the rock of the early foundation of the Church.
Then He came to the disciples and found them asleep, and said to Peter, “What? Could you not watch with Me one hour? Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Again, a second time, He went away and prayed, saying, “O My Father, if this cup cannot pass away from Me unless I drink it, Your will be done.” And He came and found them asleep again, for their eyes were heavy. So He left them, went away again, and prayed the third time, saying the same words. Then He came to His disciples and said to them, “Are you still sleeping and resting? Behold, the hour is at hand, and the Son of Man is being betrayed into the hands of sinners. “Rise, let us be going. See, My betrayer is at hand.”
Matthew 16:18 says “And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”
Often times verse 19 gets missed in getting the whole picture of the power and authority that Jesus was giving to Peter and Jesus Christ’s leaders today. 19 “And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven.”
The lessons Peter was learning were a sifting of the enemy and used to humble Peter to recognize he could not accomplish his calling as Peter the rock if he didn’t have a wake up call to what it meant to follow Jesus. More importantly in the big scheme of things, was the willingness Peter needed to have to build the early foundation. He needed to understand (1) the schemes of satan, (2) the value of prophecy being fulfilled and he needed to have a (3) huge burden for the lambs and sheep.
I can only imagine that Jesus was thinking I wish I didn’t have to go to this extent to undo the damage of Lucifer, who lost his angelic title as the “light bearer” and became satan, the great deceiver of the nations and the deceiver of Israel. However, can you imagine how it must have felt for a Sovereign God to watch His chosen become completely blinded by satan the author of paganism, evil, idolatry and deception. When I try to my get small human mind around this I can’t even handle it, but I get a sense that if it were me or you, we would be infuriated with wrath. When I think of how blind my own children are and watch the enemy toy with them constantly it infuriates me. So it was with God. This is really the story of the Old Testament and the New Covenant through Jesus Christ.
As Jesus knew the only way for the prophecy to be fulfilled was to go to the cross and take upon Himself the wrath of God, which was the cup He was referring to when He said to the Father, but if there’s any other way, then let this cup pass. He knew there was no other way. Jesus had to die by the hands of the Jews to fulfill prophecy and He had to rise again to confirm His Messianic authority.
The Church That Fell Asleep
In Revelation Ch 2 and 3 there is a message to the Churches from Christ that basically puts the errors of the church into 7 different categories of the things Christ Himself has against the Church. I am going to start teaching about these various character flaws in the Church. Even though theses were messages that John was taking to certain churches, they are prophetic. For this blog I want to talk about the Church that has fallen asleep.
These are the words of him who holds the seven spiritsb of God and the seven stars. I know your deeds; you have a reputation of being alive, but you are dead. 2Wake up! Strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God. 3Remember, therefore, what you have received and heard; hold it fast, and repent. But if you do not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what time I will come to you.
4Yet you have a few people in Sardis who have not soiled their clothes. They will walk with me, dressed in white, for they are worthy. 5The one who is victorious will, like them, be dressed in white. I will never blot out the name of that person from the book of life, but will acknowledge that name before my Father and his angels. 6Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches.
If I take what Jesus is saying to heart, and I do, I believe right now He is preparing to to be the Sovereign Judge of the Church. He said above ” what you have received and heard, hold it fast and repent” and also I have found your deeds unfinished in the sight of my God”. In the Garden Jesus said, “Watch and pray, lest you enter into temptation”.
I want to remind you of what happened in the Garden of Gethsemane because Peter and the two brothers fell asleep. I believe Jesus spoke directly to Peter letting him know He was accountable for the other two. He was also establishing Peter’s leadership role.
Also, he refers to this Church as falling asleep and not knowing when Jesus will come like a thief. When He comes to this Church he will say “your deeds were unfinished in the sight of my God because you fell asleep.”
Sometimes it can seem like Scripture is contradicting itself and that’s because we don’t study it enough or investigate further. The Bible is a Book of Miracles and Miracle Workers. It’s a story of prophets, disciples, kings, judges, apostles and disciples that overcame evil through God the Father and Jesus the Son. It is a prophetic book and that’s why we need the Holy Spirit to teach us and help us understand.
The Bible says, in Jeremiah 11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
So if we are not finding the above Scripture to be true in our life, perhaps we have fallen asleep. If that is the case, the only reason we don’t see the plan or the good is because we have fallen asleep and this is another open doorway of the enemy.
Everything the Lord has against the Church is caused by a spiritual tactic of the enemy. Everything. I say that because I know God is good and His plans are good and dark spiritual forces are used to do evil. Anything that goes against God’s plan is evil at work in our lives. With free choice, we often give the right-of-way to the enemy and we are not using the keys to the kingdom of heaven, but rather opening doorways into the kingdom of darkness. The keys to the kingdom teach us how to be OVERCOMERS with authority while we’re here battling. This word “authority” is extremely important to learn to live by as a Christian because the enemy will steal authority where you will allow him to all day long.
12 In those days when you pray, I will listen.13 If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me.”He says, 11 I have “plans for good and not disaster, to give you a future and a hope”. He refers to in those days, that time is NOW. He is referring to end times. God is listening He is not being silent like He was 2400 years ago. It’s a great time to talk to God. But, let’s not forget verse 13, “If you look for me WHOLEHEARTEDLY, you will find me.
So stay awake, repent, get back on the horse, talk to God and open your eyes bigger because God’s eyes are scouring the earth to find worthy souls. And satan and his kingdom, they are seeking vulnerable ones. Who can be more vulnerable than someone who is asleep.
Obviously the Lord has a lot of deeds for us to do and we want to accomplish those deeds and not waste time on the ones outside of His will. We must rise with authority.
As much as I have had my fill of satan and all his demonic forces, we cannot be blind anymore because the time is too short. It is not possible to love a Christ without believing that we have an enemy. That is a Church that is asleep and many will come to know that satan does exist perhaps after it’s too late if we don’t start growing up, spiritually speaking. The statistics for Christians who do not believe in satan or hell are tremendous. They are completely and blindly missing the mark.
I write this blog today because the visions that the Lord is showing me have changed in the last few years and even more dramatically in recent months so I know the spiritual season is changing. The Sovereign God and the Judge of the Churches is coming sooner than we think. Last week as I was praying and asking Jesus to show me His face, this is the face He showed me below:
Revelation 1:13-16-And in the midst of the seven candlesticks one like unto the Son of man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and girt about the paps with a golden girdle. His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire; And his feet like unto fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace; and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars: and out of his mouth went a sharp two edged sword: and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength.
I have never seen this particular face of Jesus until now. Help me wake up the church. The Judge is coming. Please pass this blog on by liking it or tweeting it out.
About a year ago, the Lord began to give me small glimpses into the future of my life’s work and ministry. A year later I realize the Lord has literally dropped into my path extraordinary trials, unreliable people, overwhelming circumstances and unfamiliar territories to get me back on His path, rather than my own.
Does that sound strange or familiar?
Why would our God make the maze of life and ministry so incredibly challenging?
It can only be the wisdom of God who would train his disciples for life in this way. Would we continue to keep our eyes focused on Him when everything seems to be coming against us, even our closest and most intimate human relationships?
The answer is “yes”. We will continue the journey.
That is not to say that our eyes have not been muddied with the mud that has been slung and with it has come moments of unclear vision.
When I started this website, I knew the Live Brilliantly Today! slogan was absolutely divinely appointed. I have asked the Lord over and over to show me as plainly as possible exactly what this message of living brilliantly today meant and what the vision for this site would be.
God simply giving me the answer would have been too easy and not nearly as transformative as the path of “experiencing” the meaning and the preparation for myself.
The message of live brilliantly today is now beginning to live inside our (Cindy, Suni and I, Jenene) existence and we are experiencing the deeper secrets of its meaning.
The meaning is multi-faceted and full of spiritual and intellectual intrigue. What started as a spiritual journey, became a mental conquest to get it right and now I believe we have come full circle to realize the meaning is a combination of spiritual and intellectual pursuit.
That enlightenment in itself is an epiphany and just like God, it is brilliant because it is from God. It would have not been the same if we (Cindy, Suni and I, Jenene) had not been surviving and fighting so relentlessly to see women healed and how we play a part in that.
To realize that at the core of the Christian woman’s life must be the understanding that we are to stand and be strong in the power of His might, not our own might. In so doing, we release ourself from our own inadequate human strength and rely fully on the power and strength of the Spirit of the Almighty God.
During this journey of transformation, we have felt and learned the balance between humility and confidence, remaining confident in the ministry we are called to and humbled by our own new found inabilities.
Therefore, it is all I can do, to not scream from the rooftops what we’ve known all along, but seem to have had moments of forgetting along the journey. I believe you will be able to relate. Found in Matthew 6:33-34 Seek (aim at and strive after) first the Kingdom of God, (His way of doing and being right) and His righteousness and then all these things you need for your ministry shall be provided to you. (I added a couple of my own words there.)
Often we leave out Matthew 6:34, but the context is incomplete without it.
“Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”
I used the King James version in verse 34 because I believe it is the most accurate in its description of portraying the evil that exists in each day. Iin spite of it the Lord will provide all that we need to accomplish His plan for our lives.
This brings me to another foundational teaching for living as a warrior for Christ and letting His light brilliantly shine through our lives.
Arguably the Apostle Paul being the most brilliant, passionate and scholar minded of the apostles beautifully uses the metaphor of the Armor of God to describe our walk as dedicated and fully committed followers of Christ. Even to the point of recognizing and describing that our walk is in fact, a battle and our identity is that of a warrior. If our identity is in Christ, then Jesus himself was also a warrior. He was a warrior for the Father’s purpose for His life. He did his Father’s will. He came, fulfilled his ministry and went home to be with the Father, and continues to intercede on our behalf. I look forward to that journey myself.
I’ve been a Christian most of my life and I had been very familiar during my life’s journey with many pieces of the armor. But, the Lord has revealed to me lately that there were some pieces missing. It’s almost as if the Apostle Paul knew that would be the case as the Holy Spirit emphasized our need to put on ALL God’s armor in order to stand against all the deceits of the devil.
Amplified Bible (AMP)
10 In conclusion, be strong in the Lord [be empowered through your union with Him]; draw your strength from Him [that strength which His boundless might provides].
11 Put on God’s whole armor [the armor of a heavy-armed soldier which God supplies], that you may be able successfully to stand up against [all] the strategies and the deceits of the devil.
12 For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood [contending only with physical opponents], but against the despotisms, against the powers, against [the master spirits who are] the world rulers of this present darkness, against the spirit forces of wickedness in the heavenly (supernatural) sphere.
13 Therefore put on God’s complete armor, that you may be able to resist and stand your ground on the evil day [of danger], and, having done all [the crisis demands], to stand [firmly in your place].
14 Stand therefore [hold your ground], having tightened the belt of truth around your loins and having put on the breastplate of integrity and of moral rectitude (righteousness) and right standing with God,
15 And having shod your feet in preparation [to face the enemy with the firm-footed stability, the promptness, and the readiness produced by the Good News] of the Gospel of peace.
16 Lift up over all the [covering] shield of saving faith, upon which you can quench all the flaming missiles of the wicked [one].
17 And take the helmet of salvation and the sword that the Spirit wields, which is the Word of God.
What pieces can you see are missing for yourself?
To revisit where this all began . . .
And so my mind began on a journey of uncovering why the word brilliant? I immediately thought, the brilliance is the light of Christ and we must live with Him at the core of the Christian’s life.
I denied that “brilliance” had anything to do with intelligence. My own Father, as far as I know was one of the most intelligent brilliant minds, unable to access Christ in his thinking, but went from being an atheist to believing in God. I stopped giving any credibility to the intellectual because I saw that it couldn’t save the spirit of my Father. He spent his entire life consumed and obsessed with learning. He said he was unable to pray or meditate because he was unable to “stop thinking”. Truth be told, I have his genes and my mind is challenged to sleep. But, the greater truth is Jesus was brilliant in every sense of the word. I will not know until I get to heaven if my human Father was ever able to find Jesus in his spirit, regardless of his overly thinking mind.
Jesus, however, was truly brilliant and He had to be able to defend the gospel and have conversations that were relevant to the people He was called to minister to. Why would it be any different for us?
He had a ministry. His ministry lasted 3 years. His life, however, was spent in preparation. In that preparation He learned the art of what we now refer to as Christian apologetics. He knew the religious, philosophical, and political arguments of the day, as well as the culture as it related to the religious practices.
In order to live brilliantly today! as Christian women leaders we must be prepared as God calls us individually and uniquely to share The Secret of Jesus to those people He will put on our path.
On my journey the Lord has put many groups of people on my path, coaches, healers, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, and Hindus who tend to overall share a common thread in this country. Although each religion is distinctly unique and different, the commonality is the pantheistic point of view that is prevalent more in America. Or a more commonly used term heard in America these days is “All roads lead to God”. (The dictionary definition is below.)
What may come to many of you as a surprise that many Christians have fallen into the American Way trap. The spiritual movement occurring in recent years in America is one that is of Western materialism blended with Eastern mysticism. It is what Ravi Zacharius refers to as The New Spirituality in his book called “Why Jesus”. Even Christians fall into this trap of a blend referred to as Weastern Spirituality.
1. the doctrine that God is the transcendent reality of which the material universe and human beings are only manifestations: it involves a denial of God’s personality and expresses a tendency to identify God and nature.
But, I’m not going to go into this right now. However, I highly recommend this divinely inspired masterpiece of a book. (my opinion).
I share that information with you so that you can see that our journey to see women healed and the lost be found is at our deepest core ministry purpose. The way to sharing the brilliance of a life in Christ is to begin to live brilliantly ourselves. That message is for all women leaders who are seeking God wholeheartedly in the pursuit of His divine purpose.
Sometimes we have to get lost a few times to discover that we have seen this scenery before. Along the journey we may lose ourselves and tire, but in the process we find the Lord.
The Lord has called us to reach many with the One. Soon, this site will transform into all that Christ desires for it to be. We are working on getting out of His way.
I sent this email below to Anne Jackson just a few minutes ago. Don’t know who she is? She’s an author of an awesome and raw book called Permission to Speak Freely. She poses the question, “What is the one thing you feel you can’t say in the church?” It’s a brilliant question. In posing the question, she asked people to send in their artistic confessions and she says her responses were “beyond anything I could have imagined”.
I was moved greatly by her courage and her story. The Lord has been encouraging me to write my own book and include other women’s stories of what they’ve survived- only by the grace of God. I am finding women hesitating, holding back and considering sharing their story.
My email to Anne Jackson:
I am not expecting a response to this email, but I had to share with you how inspired I was by your book Permission to Speak Freely. I basically had to get that off my chest. I want to honor you for your boldness and authenticity. What a breathe of fresh air! The Lord has asked me to do a campaign called “Share Your Story” for a book He wants me to write. I am looking for women to share their stories. On the web page I have an option of, yes, no, considering. I am finding a lot of women choosing the considering option. So, in reading your story, it just made me think, “how do I get women to share the story that God is calling them to share?” How do I find the women who are bold enough that they will tell their story even in the face of their fear of rejection or judgment? I love your rawness and I believe it’s time for this. It’s time to be raw so we can brilliantly share the love of Christ. May the Lord bless abundantly you for the courageous work you are doing.
Today Suni and I were having a conversation and as I was giving her a little personal coaching, this divine moment showed up and this statement flew out of my mouth.
I said, “Suni, you can spend your life doing good things or you can spend your life doing God things. It’s your choice.” Suni was so excited, she said, you’ve got to create an ebook or product with that title.
Needless to say, I give God all the credit because He inspired the thought. Anyway, she left a few minutes later and I spontaneously created this video.
Since I know that all of us in our heart of hearts want to live our divine purpose and walk the God-inspired path for our life, I put this video together to help. I pray it will inspire you to have a breakthrough in the area of purpose.
We were on a well-deserved weekend trip in the bay area. We were strolling along the pier enjoying the sea air, the sound of seagulls and knick-knack shops, when we stumbled upon an art gallery nestled back in a corner. There were many different types of art. The collections were directed to all types of tastes and personalities. There were beautiful, creative and then there were the pieces that I thought were very bizarre and some downright scary. I have pondered on what the artist’s thoughts and feelings were at the time they created their works of art. How they must get out a lot of different emotions out through this form of release.
What a fun way to praise and relieve stress. I can see it now.
Praise music cranked up
Easel, canvas & paintbrush
Paint & painting apron
Think of all the money they save on therapy! I’m just kidding, not everyone needs therapy, that’s what we have girlfriends, mentors and prayer partners for.
I know that I’ve had beautiful, creative, bizarre and some downright scary emotions and perspectives on things in my life and my surroundings. I have been resistant to change, in some areas through the years. Actually I’ve been downright stubborn and lazy about it, I’m not sure why because resistance usually doesn’t feel good (unless I’m on a healthy eating plan and resisting a brownie).
Realizing that I do at times need a paradigm shift in some of my thought patterns. I’ve found the best way to do this is, talking to God, listening to God and reading His word. I am a sinner that fights with impatience and intolerance when things don’t go my way. Sounds like a spoiled brat, huh? Anyone else?
A video on youtube named Paradigm shift by Fellowship Bible Church Littlerock, AR. hit a little to close to home because it pointed out to me my selfishness and self-centeredness. www.youtube.com/watch?v=JlRK1vqcuvg
I feel comforted that God has the bird’s eye view of our lives and He has planted the desire to be transformed into His likeness in my heart. Romans 12:2 Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Now it’s up to me to get it into my mind. To change my perspective will be a constant discipline but the payoff comes when having compassion and loving others comes a little more natural. Take a look at Philippians 4:8, as Paul’s gives us direction as to our thoughts 8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.
I pray God is pulling on your heartstrings as well to live intentionally in thoughts and actions today.
